Les Snead scouting QBs, but puts faith in Sam Bradford

Armed with a bevy of early draft picks (RamBill--How is one extra high pick a bevy ?), St. Louis Rams general manager Les Snead has been doing his due diligence on quarterbacks.
"We've definitely scouted QBs," Snead told Sirius XM Mad Dog Sports Radio on Monday ".... (The 2014 draft) happens to be deeper from top to bottom at the QB position than it has been in years. ... You're going to have more QBs on the board. Hey, you've got be willing to decide at a particular spot in the draft if that's the best player for your organization or not."
Snead insisted last month at the NFL Annual Meeting he didn't plan on drafting a quarterback, especially as high as the No. 2 pick.
However, Snead's comments Monday mesh with a report stating the Rams were "strongly considering" drafting a signal-caller who could compete with Sam Bradford "in a year or two."
The momentum for the Rams drafting a quarterback has been building throughout the evaluation process. In a mock draft to be released Tuesday on NFL.com, Charles Davis slots Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel to St. Louis in the No. 13 spot.
However, Snead reiterated (for the umpteenth time) on "The Rich Eisen Podcast," which airs Tuesday, that he has complete confidence in Bradford.
"When Sam was healthy ... we were 5-2-1 in a very tough division," Snead said. "So, I can say all that ... and plus the experience he's already gained, plus the throws he's made. All of those things we say, 'You know what? He's a starting quarterback.' Better for us to reap the benefits of that than some other team."
The Rams might not use the No. 2 pick on a quarterback, but it's becoming clearer they won't hesitate to grab a younger quarterback if he is atop their draft board when they go on the clock.
