Facing Seattle on Monday night will be the second time in three weeks that the Rams play the Seahawks. It will also be the Rams’ fourth straight divisional game. “We knew that was going to happen when our schedule was backloaded with NFC West teams,” coach Steve Spagnuolo said. “You’re familiar and you’ve already studied the tape because there’s only two games in between.”[/textarea]

Coach Steve Spagnuolo was “thoroughly impressed” with QB Kellen Clemens’ quick grasp of the offense. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was also impressed -- Clemens called the plays without the use of a wristband. Clemens spent five years with the Jets and had some familiarity with McDaniels’ offense by running the scout team when the Jets would prepare for the Patriots.[/textarea]

Not practicing Friday: QB Sam Bradford (ankle), QB A.J. Feeley (thumb), FB Brit Miller (knee), DT Fred Robbins (back) and RB Quinn Porter (oblique). Miller “tweaked his knee” warming up before practice, coach Steve Spagnuolo said. Information on the severity of the injury was not available.[/textarea]

The arrival of QB Kellen Clemens for Friday's practice meant the Rams no longer needed Matt Gutierrez on the practice squad. Gutierrez was released and the Rams added DT Carnell Banks to the practice squad. Banks is an undrafted rookie from Fresno State who had previously been with Baltimore and Cincinnati.[/textarea]
