To be replaced by someone who wants to do leftist social commentary instead of report on, you know, sports.
ESPN hasn't been good for awhile. It is now going to be garbage I am sure.
Within a couple of years a chair will be open for Kap to sit there and talk about oppression while ignorantly wearing a Castro shirt.
Hey, MTV used to play music videos too....
Cue pic of "old man yells at cloud" from the Simpsons.
Feeling grumpy.
F ESPN.

Rather get off on a lifeboat than go down with the Titanic.

If he still wants to work there will be opportunity for him.

Are you freaking kidding me here ESPN? John Clayton might be the best NFL reporter in the entire country, and you're laying him off? Maybe if he had a show where he called his co-host an icehole for an hour a day they'd keep him.

Worthless bloody organization.

This is a good thing! Now maybe he can go to work for a Class organization Like NFLN - FOX - CBS!! He's great at what he does and deserves to work at some place Better! Probably the BEST thing that could happen to him!!

I'm sure he will get scooped up by NFL network really quickly, someone that good doesn't stay unemployed for long. Football is his life, id rather him be somewhere else than espn anyways.

He's probably not "Hip" enough for what they want to provide nowadays. Most would rather watch SportsCenter with Michael and Jemele :puke:than listen to an old metal head.

One of the best SC commercials of all time. "Ma, I'm done with my segment!"

Clayton had to go to make room for newly hired Rex Ryan and Chip Kelley, who will be teamed together for ESPN's lead show.

It'll be called "Fast Feet," and it will be dedicated to Rex's foot fetish and Kelly's hurry-up offense. They'll spend 30 minutes a day with Kelly holding up cartoon placards of women's feet and Rex having ten seconds to talk about what athlete's feet he thinks they are, how hot they are on a scale of 1 to 10, and whether or not he'd let the athlete involved feed him donut holes with their feet.

Hope NFL Network scoops him. I expect the trainwreck known as BSPN to continue it's downturn. Cutting corners exponentially like that spells a bad vibe long-term

Idiotic. But then again it makes sense, since he's knowledgeable and always has good information about more than just 3 or 4 east coast/Dallas teams.

ESPN is losing viewers hand over fist to Fox Sports1, NBCSports and CBS Sports networks and will continue to do so until they get rid of jackasses like Dan Lebetard

yeah, espn shows really suck. they're unwatchable, especially sportscentre.

i do like nfl live though. goofy show with goofy guys. can'watch it live but a good program to tape and fast forward to the bits you want to see.
