It was the 3rd game this year we've held a team under 30 yards rushing. THIRTY!!!
Rams defense has 3 of the top 16 lowest rushing totals in rams history since 1940. And one of the top 16 last year. So, in last 2 years we've seen 4 of the best 16 run stopping performances in team annals

Yeah, he didn't have much of a choice. His bench RB's weren't much better options.....but knowing now what Morris did....

I had Tre Mason on the bench to start and Gronk for the flex. Tre wasn't on fire, but he produced. I'd grab a guy off waiver wire rather than a struggling RB against the Rams right now.

I wanna see the Rams go into Seattle and pull a 1979 on them. May not have been negative rushing yards but it was negative total yards. What a game THAT was. I remember watching it on TV.

Hey, that's how I play fantasy football. And the reason I quit playing. Rams over fantasy every time.
I completely separate the two, try to be objective as possible. On Sundays though, I couldn't care less about fantasy football tbh, except for my money league.

Na, I'll start a player against the Rams, just not an RB right now, Rams are shutting them down. I separate wanting a player to do well statistically and the Rams still winning. QB's who lose against the Rams can still FF well, they just can't win. (y)

Ya know those of us who were former STL Cardinal fans got a jump on hating the Seahawks , the Cards played them in the Hawks first ever game.
For some reason the local network affiliate decided not to carry the game but a small town near Cape Girardeau , had cable and on that system was the St.L affiliate which was carrying the game ,so a few of us got together and rented a motel room so we could see the game ,keg snacks all the reg stuff.
We thought it was going to be a laugher ,the Cards nearly lost that game ,end score 30-24 it was miserable couldn't put them away, then began my distaste for Seahawk, I much prefer spotted owl

Me too. Well I only played it once but I refused to draft anyone from the Whiners, Seachickens, patsies, cowgirls, or viqueens. Still didn't do too bad as I had Rogers as my QB. Separate football from my RAMS? I think not.

Negative total yards... O. M. G.
It was a thing of beauty. Negative 30 yards passing. Sacked Zorn 6 times and held him to 2 ... count 'em 2 completions. They allowed one whole first down. That was the best defensive I've ever seen in one game bar none.

And it wasn't like it was a bad shecocks team either. I was looking back at that season and they won the two games prior and the three games after. We just came in and laid the wood to them all game.

Best 5-game stretch in Rams history (1940 to present)

Next--1965 Rams had a 5-game stretch of 281.

This line has beaten the Fearsome Foursome .. . not bad

It also has been the best 6-game stretch in Rams history.
Beats giving it up to DeMarco Murray in one game! lol :ROFLMAO:

Since 1940: Cle/LA/StL Rams records:

Fewest yards rushing allowed, 2 consecutive games

562014, games 8-9

77—2007, games 9-10

79— 1965, games 10-11

Fewest yards rushing allowed, 5 consecutive games

2722014, games 9-13

281—1965, games 9-13

300—1968, games 2-6

Fewest yards rushing allowed, 6 consecutive games

3522014, games 8-13

375—1968, games 1-6

402—1997-98, game 12, 1997-game 1 1998

If Rams hold Cardinals to fewer than 126 yards rushing tonight, they will set

the best 7-game stretch since 1940,

Again, this is since 1940 (1937-1939 are not publically available, Elias Sports Bureau may have the game-by-game defensive rushing statistics

I remember watching that game and being so excited to get to school on Monday and brag to all my friends about how dominant my defense was. That was the most complete defensive ass-whipping you will EVER see in a game....

I remember the game well, even I was in total shock at what we did to them!! .....( If your not 'Hipped' about the Rams after reading all these comments, I don't know what to tell you!!)
