With his playmaking ability and his engaging enthusiasm and charisma, it's easy to see Joyner becoming a fan favorite around here. Now do we put him in the slot or at safety.... hmmm...

I was thinking the same thing, and honestly I couldnt decide. I think he will be productive no matter where we put him

ESPN has him as a safety? I like him better as a FS than I do as a CB, however I feel he would be a great nickel guy.

My thoughts as well. I think he sees time at both positions.

Easier to slot him in as a nickle guy as a rookie. I'd venture to guess that we'll see him all over the field, and be a specialist on the blitz. Excited to see what he can do at this level.

I like it. I really like it.

It's hard not get enthused and start having a bit of "expectations" right now.

You guys know how high I was on this prospect before the draft and you gotta know I am ecstatic over seeing him as a Ram in Gregg's defense perfect fit!

Gregg Williams sure let the NFL know what the Rams defense will be about after drafted defensive players like:
1st rd. DT Donald
2nd rd. DB Joyner
4th rd. DB Alexander
6th rd. DB EJ Gaines

There will be a lot of stuff happening around that DL this season....the word Laid Back will know longer be in the Rams vocabulary.

This is the dude I've been waiting for in the secondary. Smart and unafraid of taking a leadership role. I think we have our secondary leader now for sure.

He has the kind of mentality you want all of your FB players to have.

You can see it in his eyes. There's an intelligence level and determination you don't see in a lot of players. I haven't really followed him so this was good for me to see. Does anyone else think he seems like he's 5 years older than he is?

This kid is awesome and I'm really looking forward to watching him over the next few years. Got a chance to talk to him at the celebrity softball game, great attitude, very humble, and very friendly. He's a great person and I can see him being a leader of the defense a few years down the road.

Sounds like a nice kid. But, his size still concerns me.

I agree. He's mature beyond his years. He definitely does not take success for granted, which is a great indicator for future success.

Love this guy!

Good interview. "Put the offense on the defensive."
