I was rewatching the game to set the mood for my day when I noticed something on a kickoff. On the Rams 3rd kickoff when the returner muffed it, the ball came out like a bullet pass instead a high arcing end over end kick. I have never seen this before and was wondering if anyone else has seen this. Maybe it's some tinkering from Fassel designed to possibly cause a fumble. It doesn't allow the coverage team to cover the kick at all though.

Have to think it was a mishit kick as they want the kicks deep so as to cover them. Unless it's an onside kick of course! Have to watch the game again!

It was a mistake by Zeurlein. He did something similar earlier in the year that resulted in a Knile Davis return for a TD.
