To be fair ... they go through HC quicker than QB’s ... so I don’t blame them giving Hue who had a good offensive mind time to build something ... their issue was money ball and their draft strategy how many of their high round picks are in the league still ? ... their best pick I can remember was joe Thomas
They missed a great opportunity to build an offense with skill players when they had a good offense of line a couple years ago.
And then they missed an opportunity to get one of two great quarterbacks last year.

I am still stunned by that contract Britt signed.

There could not have been that much competition for his services.

One Hell of a job by Britt's agent.

I admit to being so desperate for wide receivers that I wanted to keep him for this year.

McVay had a much better idea.

People were wondering why in the hell Britt would sign with Cleveland, at this point in his career.
IMO,it's because he doesn't care about winning. No coincidence his career year was a contract year,He
is in the NFL to collect a check and try to show just enough to collect another one.
Players like him, are cancers.Especially to the young players who have yet to learn what it takes to be
a winner in this league.

Oh so familiar, addition by subtraction has come to Cleveland finally. Rams fans say, "it feels so good".

The man is a discrace to the uniform, yes even the Cleveland uniform.
Thankfully, this is probably the last we will see of this Joke of a player.

Anybody want to speculate as to where he would have played this year
if the Rams had retained Fisher?

Kenny Britt could sign with a contender by Tuesday

The waiver period for claiming the contract of former Browns receiver Kenny Britt expires on Monday at 4:00 p.m. If no one claims his contract, which carries a prorated base salary of $4 million for the rest of the year ($235,529 per week), Britt will become a free agent.

And if he clears waivers, Britt will be free to sign with any other team.

The question becomes whether he will, and if so when. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Britt hopes to sign with a playoff contender, if he clears waivers.

The Browns surely would like for him to be claimed, since it would take them off the hook for the balance of his salary. If he clears waivers, he can collect the balance of his pay from the Browns as termination pay and pocket whatever he gets elsewhere.

Britt had a disappointing season in Cleveland, and the Browns were certain to cut him before his $6.5 million salary for 2018 became fully guaranteed in March. But he (somehow) had more than 1,000 receiving yards for a listless Rams offense in 2016, which could prompt someone to take a chance on him, especially if the injury bug bites a contending team this weekend.

One team to watch would be the Patriots, given the affinity of coach Bill Belichick for former Rutgers players — if former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano vouches for Britt. But it won’t be easy for Britt to make an instant impact with any new team at this point, given how hard it is for skill-position players to stroll in to a new locker room at this stage of the season and figure out how to do what everyone else has been doing for months.

Still, even if Britt spends the rest of the regular season figuring out the playbook and the coaching staff and his quarterbacks, an opportunity to play in January could undo a lot of the damage that was done to his market value during a failed excursion to Cleveland.

Britt signing with a contender? Sorry but don't think any of them are desperate enough at WR to sign this idiot.

How was he a problem for us? He was our first 1,000 yard receiver since Holt.
I get what you're saying. It's not so binary as that, and I believe that Britt was trying to be serious about getting it together under Fisher.

That said a team desperate enough may well be tempted to put up with his antics, but of course this team went in a different direction.

Patriots signing Kenny Britt

Wide receiver Kenny Britt cleared waivers after being dropped by the Browns, which left him eligible to sign with any team as a free agent.

He decided to sign with a team coached by a former Browns coach who went on to far better things after being fired in Cleveland. Shortly after Field Yates of ESPN reported that Britt was close to signing with the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Britt has agreed to a two-year deal in New England.

The move would fit in a long tradition of the Patriots taking on veterans who have been discarded by other teams, even if their stay turns out to be brief once the team decides that they aren’t a good fit for the organization. Britt also went to Rutgers, which has been a popular starting spot for future Patriots in past years.

That could certainly turn out to be the case with Britt. He was a total flop for the Browns after signing a four-year deal with Cleveland in the offseason and he had plenty of other ups and downs over the course of his time with the Titans and Rams.

The ups have been pretty good, though, and Britt could get a chance to provide a few in high-profile spots if the Patriots like what they see once he’s on the field.
