Keeping a lid on trick plays.

Are there any coaches out there that have tried something in regards to keeping a lid on trick plays, new plays by going "top secret" on game day? If I were a coach, I would try to share a new play or two with only 11 offensive players, meet with them game day about 2 hours before the game, and not share it with anyone, not even the defensive side of the team. With twitter and everything, the element of surprise is almost gone as guys like to brag or say we got something special coming up. The Dahls of the world sharing the playbook once traded. The Pats cheating scandal would never have happened if a higher concerted effort to keep a tighter lid on the playbook like having a closed walk through practice in a large meeting room/ball room with no media allowed. Do you think Fisher does something like this at all? Just curious.

Aren't closed practices used for "secret" plays? What you're proposing seems a little draconion when you consider that once you use a play it becomes public knowledge. Plus, frequently they don't even work. :lol:
