A friend of mine was in Florida on vacation and sat near Marino in a restaurant. He said Dan was not satisfied with his meal and the way he treated the waitress was beyond shameful.

Kevin Demoff is a member here as well. Remember when he posted here right before the draft? This is what happens when we treat Rams players, coaches, and front office staff with fairness and respect.
....and each other. I'm sure they get a chuckle out of many of us Jr GMs (I put myself at the front of the mockery list)....but, I can't imagine a GM or any other exec or player wanting to hang on a board that is hateful, unintelligent and filled up people cursing each other out.
THANK GOD I FOUND ROD!!

In fairness to Marino (although he does have that aire of super entitled jock about him) my son who was about 12 at the time met Marino, Rypien, and Chris Chandler at a golf event. They were all cool. All three signed a ball for him. Marino actually had him run a route and lofted a pass to him. Rypien said "Let me show you Dan." Had him run a route and burned one in on a line....kid caught it. IN YOUR FACE Rypien.

Why is he a great GM?
Because of his hair? Duh????

I get that impression too. In my opinion, he seems like a football guy; played, has been around the locker room and, continued on that path, but his most important component in the Rams organization is that he gets the system and the players that are needed for that system to be successful.

I know it's been talked about by fans, but it seems that the most successful GM's understand what the coach needs in a player for the coach's system to be successful. Not every gifted player is going to excel in every system, nor is every less gifted player going to fail in every system. IMO among other things, that is where Demoff and Spags failed as a FO. I believe Snead and Fisher are on the same page, and that is why I believe this team, despite Sam's injury, is on the right path.
Nice post man. Couldn't have put it better myself

Should be interesting when he comes back at seasons end because question #1 (for me anyways) is; What are the teams plans for Sam Bradford?"

Great to hear he's around these parts too. Good job.

Can't believe I left out such an important aspect. I have pretty sweet hair too BTW.
This is why Les Snead won't stop by. It will turn into a hair measuring contest.

But if he does ever swing by, seems like he would welcome at least one question regarding his hair care.

He really was. I spoke to him for about five minutes and he's a really down to earth guy. I asked how everyone's doing, you know, considering; and he said really well. Said everyone's really focused.this year and nothing's gonna derail this team. He asked if I live down here, we talked about the weather, and I think we're going steady now. Not sure, but I felt a vibe.

As long as it didn't move a little... (George Costanza reference)

Z, if Snead comes on here, make sure he brings his beautiful wife with him! He's a cool dude. Met him once when he spoke at one of our corporate events last year. Very cool guy.

That is really cool brother.

I guess I could see a guy reading this board. IF he read the PD board, I would think his head would explode.

I'm really hoping this team is going to step up and come together hard.

I'm thinking that.

It's going to happen this year.

booyah!

I dunno... experience, tenacity, knowledge of the game, they probably all factor in. Y'know - the same kinds of things that make me great at what I do.

Well, yeah.

And he's ours.

We protect our own.

Careful with that negativity.

You may start a pillow fight.

So you're saying he's the Alec Baldwin of football.
