....and the RAMS JUST WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!

I had forgotten that the SB opponent in the movie was the Steelers. The movie was released in 1978 though!! How did they know what the matchup would be one year later?!?!

I saw that movie when I was an impressionable eight years old. After watching it, how could I possibly root for any other team?!

Also forgot that the movie featured cameos from Deacon Jones, Jack Snow, and Les Josephson. Hollywood, baby!

Ah, the Seventies. The clothes... the shoes... the vibe... so much of that movie reminds me of my Dad... football... fathers and sons... passing along the love of football to the next generation...

The Rams MVP in the movie was (Warren Beatty) as the QB: Jarrett #16. But Heaven CAN’T wait anymore... we need a SB victory from our modern version....QB Jared #16!

For those old enough to remember, feel free to share any memories ya got of this movie...

If we still had Jaworski, the Rams could have been in and won other Super Bowls.....Pat Haden, ugh...am I right?

When they were out trying to find a new body, just before each one of them died. Funny stuff!

Yeah... I just watched it again a few weeks ago. My wife had never seen it.

If you're a Ram Fan... it should be required that you watch this movie.

I've heard of Heaven Can Wait but never watched it. Had no idea it was about the Rams (which I think is cool) and I just checked out the trailer. It's going on my watch list right now.

Dyan Cannon with smoking in that movie. Anyone know what number Joe Pendelton wore?

That movie is why I was a 7 year old Rams fan in SW Missouri!
I still love it and am amazed it hasn't been remade.
They could remake it now, with cameos by Aaron Donald and Johnny Hekker.
The lead role with Ryan "Goff" Gosling...

Saw it with my dad in the theater back then. Love the movie as one of my favorites today. Must've seen it 50 times.

Wasn't a fan of Christie's "fro", she looks so awesome in straight hair in the above pic. I thought Cannon was really hot too. I didn't care about her bitchiness I was struck! Pendleton wore #14.

Jim Peterson, Rams spec teams LB from '75 was also in that movie, doing a 70's "brutha handshake" with another player in the locker room after the win. Tall 6'5" white guy, light brown wavy hair, bent nose. He's uncredited in the movie but I recognize him.

Funny thing is, and I'm sure some of you know, that Beatty first wanted it to be about Muhammad Ali in a boxing movie. Good thing he wasn't available because it ended up being the right thing to do... be about the Rams!!!

The game was filmed during halftime of a preseason game vs the Chargers in 1977. I'm thinking someone here might've been there? The Chargers upset the Rams 26-25 and it was the revenge of QB James Harris who had a little something to prove. Fouts sat out half the season in a contract dispute so Shack was a starter until Danny came back and signed.
