This will be my last mock (unless I get bored and change my mind haha) with the draft less than a week away. I definitely borrowed some from the mock @Corbin recently put out. This mock assumes that Forrest Lamp, Corey Davis, T.J. Watt, and David Njoku are gone by the time we pick.
Trade
Rams trade Round 3 Pick #5 and Round 4 Pick #5
Cowboys trade Round 2 Pick #28 and Round 4 Pick #28

We do a pick swap with the Cowboys to trade up to make sure we get our guy.

Explanation: As I've said a few times, if McVay wants Engram, I'm 100% with him. It seems like that might be the direction we're heading. What's nice is that grabbing Cooper Kupp and Engram allows us to take Engram along slowly while still having a WR who can make an immediate impact. Engram is the best type of tweener. He's athletic enough to be a WR but almost has the size and strength to be a TE. He'll be a really nice blocker at WR. Kupp will offer us a steady, reliable option in the passing game for the foreseeable future. I felt that a trade-up was worth it because I was not willing to miss out on Kupp. I'd take him over Engram if I felt it was necessary.

Howard Wilson was my pick at CB in the 4th. If Jourdan Lewis falls that far due to the DV arrest, I'd jump on him. If Rasul Douglas is still available, it would be a tough call between him and Wilson. I like both in our scheme. Both guys are playmakers with outstanding ball-skills who need a little polishing. Vanderdoes offers us a big body who can play either DE or NT in this scheme. He's one of the best run defenders in this draft and is a really nice fit at NT in Wade's scheme because of his ability to disrupt in the back-field.

Roullier, Holsey, and Price are all guys I've had in my mocks many times. Roullier is my favorite Center prospect in this draft (not counting the converts). I really like his size and power in our scheme. I love Holsey's athletic skill-set, competitiveness, and ball-skills. His athletic profile is quite similar to Chris Harris's coming out of Kansas. Price is an undersized but highly productive edge rusher. At 5'11" 240, he's strong as an ox and explosive off the snap.

Seaton is a new name in my mocks. I decided that I wanted to take a development OT with our last pick. There's not a ton out there on Seaton, but from what I've seen, he has some nice tools to develop. At 6'9" 327 with 34.25 inch arms, he definitely has the right dimensions.

I dig it man! Like the double dipping at pass catchers early. Really can't complain at all about any of the picks. Would definitely be happy if the draft ended up this way.

Good work!!

Like the addition of Engram and Kupp to the receiver core. However, think the rams may need to trade up for Engram, and hope Kupp is there at 69. Other teams drafting after the Rams are looking at Engram also, and the rams have that 2nd 4th rounder to use to move up closer to the top of the 2nd round to draft Engram. Rams could use the top of the 4th round pick also, but would need to get another pick back.

Appreciate the due diligence Counselor and getting two play makers right off the top and then a CB would make me very happy and adding in a center satisfies all the needs that IMO the Rams have to address.

you guys have all locked in on Engram....I understand Kupp....

I think a focus on offense, with the way our contracts are set up on defense, could leave us in a weird predicament in 2018.

I still like these players jrry....good job.

I'm not locked in on Engram.... I'd be happy with a WR there.... IMHO ... I think we need to double dip in the skilled positions to help Goff develop quicker..... but which ever way we go I'm good with......;)

Go Rams....... ;)

I agree totally that our draft is leaning towards this way of two of the top pass catchers in the draft especially if the guys they like are there. Then the rest of the draft will be used for BPA or filling out the roster. Good mock man.

Great stuff as always.
Not what I would hope for necessarily, but that's why I'm a poster and not an NFL employee

I like the explanation on Engram and Kupp. Engram should be a big WR early on. Nice to have both options and weapons for Goff. It will be interesting how they split up playing time. It's good that they will be fighting for playing time and have fresh legs.

Nice mock. That round two in particular would be great.

You know... OT is that position that is lurking in the back of my mind, where I find myself wondering if it's a far bigger need to McVay and company than it has been to us. If three are off the board like I expect plus Lamp it's hard to imagine them pulling the trigger on it, but I keep looking at some of those guys projected round 2-3 range and wondering if we see them reach for one of them.

This is going to be a crazy draft. My main worry is we see one of those "WTF" picks there at 37, the "we think we're smarter than everyone else" type picks like Brian Quick. I pray that doesn't happen.

I really like the players you picked, and I'm a fan of taking a late round OT. With the new CBs, I would love us to trade Tru for more picks. Am also a little sad that there was no room for Kittle in this mock.

I wouldn't trade up for Engram. If he's gone, he's gone. I'd be more willing to risk Engram being gone than Kupp being gone. I'd trade up for Lamp or Corey Davis, though.

McVay's has said more than once that it is important to get weapons for Goff. It seems to be a priority, unless it is a smoke screen. What is on this team that comes close to the pass catching talent that Washington had?

Cooper, Austin, Thomas, Higbee? The only two I have hope for is Cooper and Higbee. But that is tempered. I really wanted them to pick Mike Thomas but he didn't look like the guy I saw making spectacular grabs in college. I don't see anything close to Desean Jackson, Garcon, and Reed. I am praying that Higbee can become some of what Reed is, but they still need another TE.

Forget about Robert Woods? I prefer him over an aging Garçon. We're a piece of two away in my opinion. Thomas showed us he can get open. I'll count his first year a write off due to rookie jitters. I'm not ready to give up on him.

I love this Draft, and would be very happy with it! But I do have ' One' Problem with it! I really don't think:thinking: the Rams are going to Trade up in this Draft!
I hated the idea of loosing our 3rd round pick, at first, but to land Both Engram and Kupp would be well worth it!(y)(y):yay::yess:

I like this draft.

I really want Corey Davis to get close enough to make a move. I don't see that happening though.
