In his recent one on one with Dani he mentioned that, plus the fact they're making it competitive out there. Now, I know it's a small thing to get excited about, but F it I'm pumped!

It's interesting to me that he mentioned Cooper Kupp. Seems like Kupp is already making a really good impression because LMJ mentioned Goff, Gurley, and Woods (the big name guys) outside of Kupp. It's good to hear. Let's hope they do it. I'm looking forward to the preseason.

I almost don't know how to act! Been like a decade since anybody professional has described a Rams offense as competitive!

Pour me some more Rum from that Kupp!

When it comes to Goff and Kupp. I would like to see the " Second coming of Everett to Flipper Anderson"!! Or call it Everett/Anderson 2.0! ( 336 yards in one game!)

I have been referencing the word "competition" since the draft. It's a steady and common theme if you look at the guys they have brought in. NOBODY has a "guaranteed" job . The numbers at every position ... outside of QB, is strong and begs that they are opening it up. Now I must say that we all know that certain guys have their spots locked in ... but the days of Fisher bringing in "his guys" and only adding riff-raff to the competition mix is over.

For once, I see a roster of "the best 53" making the team. And i see "competition" as being a theme throughout the season for depth .

What's interesting is that observers at OTA's and Camp always describe the Offense as being behind the Defense as both are installed. I didn't hear anyone say that so far...

Couldn't agree more. I know it is May, and everything is glitter and rainbows, but the new staff has certainly injected more of a competitive spirit it seems. When they let Britt and Quick walk, you could see the writing on the wall. No more FOJF. The new WR corp has a lot to learn and prove, but we'll see how it pans out. So far, I am really digging the vision.

Yeah when I think back to '99 the buzz started similarly, in the shorts and shells, and of course most Rams fans were still skeptical even while being excited. Then during camp things picked up as everyone could see the difference in how crisp and efficient things were run by Martz and we got those reports from those in attendance. Again I was hopeful and excited but still a little leery given how bad the offense had been in '98.

Preseason was where the difference was undeniable for me. You could just see a whole different mindset with them, a swagger where they knew they were going to score points, and that's when I knew for sure that Martz and the offense were different.

I don't expect that kind of improvement or anything this year, but there are some similarities. I'll be attending camp this year and can't wait to compare it to what I witnessed last year, but even so we're not going to really know until we see this unit take the field against opponents in preseason.

I think the quote is funny. The offense last year scored TDs too.
