That was decided the second RG3 and Coleman went down. Playing for that team makes you need a drink.

Time to drop his from my fantasy team and admit it was a bad late round draft pick.

At least he is trying to get help and try to get better instead of continuing on and getting suspended again. Props to him.

It makes me think, in lieu of another positive, or possible positive test.

Hope he can straighten his stuff out. Talent wasted.

If he is just admitting , I know that his addiction will take a lot more and a lot longer than that. With a child that has suffered for a long time, and knowing others who have suffered similarly, I have first hand knowledge. He also needs a serious support system (people).

There's a lot of ups and downs with addiction.
The addict often wants to get help, thinking they've hit rock bottom.
Unfortunately, rock bottom is much lower than people realize.

It is likely he would have had a positive test. He may have avoided it by checking into rehab. Will the NFL really send someone into the rehab facility to test him? Can they even get a hold of him at this point?

Traded him for Jeremy Maclin before the start of the season in one of my fantasy leagues, guess that was a good deal.

I'm not 100% positive but I think this is all about Marijuana. It's not federally legal but is sold in many states. In 2013, only 7% of American adults said they were marijuana users. Today, less than three years later, usage rates have nearly doubled, as 13% of U.S. adults say they smoke pot — according to a recent Gallup poll. Despite what appears to be growing acceptance of the drug, the DEA recently reiterated marijuana’s classification as a Schedule 1 substance, in the same category as heroin, LSD, and ecstasy.

Lot's of people smoke pot every day. I think this is over blown. Sure it's against the law (kinda, wink-wink). NFL has rules about not using it. I just don't think it's a big deal.

Partial article article about his last failed test.

There's a reason why Roger Goodell hasn't reinstated Josh Gordon yet, and it has to do with a recent misstep that has muddled the process for Gordon.

The suspended Cleveland Browns wide receiver, who missed the entire 2015 season after testing positive for alcohol, failed an NFL-administered drug test last month, sources have told FOX Sports.

Gordon's sample, which was collected in early March, tested positive for marijuana and dilute, according to a source informed of the results of the test. The source added that both the "A" and "B" samples collected were positive for marijuana and dilute. Though the level of marijuana was below the 35 nanograms per milliliter required for a positive test, the diluted sample is considered a positive test.

This development is a red flag for Gordon but it doesn't necessarily mean he will miss yet another season. He applied for reinstatement in February and, if all went well, could have been reinstated within 60 days. However, the league has said Goodell wasn't required to make a decision within that timeframe and it's clear now the positive test has at least given him and the experts who evaluate Gordon's case pause.

A source said Goodell has yet to rule on Gordon's reinstatement request........................................................

I took him late as well, but as soon as I drop him he'll get traded to a good team and decide to come back.

This won't be popular but here goes.

This isn't some serious addiction problem to some powerful drug that is difficult to shake. It's weed. It's harder to quit chewing gum than it is to put down the fucking bong and make millions. This isn't a "substance abuse" problem, it's marijuana, not meth.

He's another Johnny Tricycle and that's why they hang out together. Immature children with shit for brains and lots of money in their pockets.

I have no sympathy for him at all. This isn't like some guy or a friend who is battling with opioids or whatever. It's a spoiled athlete who has been coddled for many years and has gotten away with being a shit head and hitting the bong because he is an amazingly talented football player.

Good riddance.

Just legalize marijuana nation wide, fake everybody out and tell them it will go towards education like gambling and all will be just fine!

Marijuana, marijuana. LSD,LSD Scientists make it, teachers take it. Why can't we, why can't weeeee?

The NFL won't allow it and will test for it even if it's legalized nationally.

Agreed initially, however, eventually they would adapt, but you never know? All depends how the corporate culture handles it as well. IMO, I just feel as a country we waste many resources chasing these types of things you could debate alcohol is worse, but they tried that with the Volstead Act and was the very reason that organized crime was able to prosper.

As to Gordon, hopefully the rehab will help him and he can put this behind him.
