Jones:

Rams 1st SB win.
Good Call on O.
Great textbook tackle.
Dyson almost scored.

Butler:

Patriot's whatever SB win (yawn).
Dumb call by Petey.
DB read it. (.....)
Should've ran it.

Jones' play was better.

They served up that INT on a platter. Not to mention the worst call in the history of the Superbowl. You need one yard. You have a guy they call Beast Mode. Instead you call a pass into the teeth of the defense. If your mind was made up to call a pass play why wouldn't you bootleg it and give Wilson the option to run or pass?

Still can't believe they didn't give it to Lynch every play that series. Sure, maybe he doesn't score every down but the odds are 1 of them he is.

I think Jones' better too.

But all Rams fans will say that. They hate Pats and we can never be objective.

Butler's came about by his study. Seahawks had a timeout so running it makes most sense. But Pats ready for it. Any penetration with 8-man box stops it. Even with Beat Mode or Godzilla, Pats playing the run. No one knows that he would have scored.

But odds are running it twice, -- run, timeout, run -- they would have scored.

Jones' play was by effort and technique. Rams defense was beat, pass rush gassed, pass completed but individual effort made the difference.

Butler's was a schemed play. Pats set up to stop the run and rans man lock rather than banjo it and Seahawks didn't expect "lock".

Pats defeated the play and strategy. Jones beat the man. Won one on one.

I think the "teeth" of the defense was a 8-man front. Pats forced them into the throw because they knew Pats were not going to roll over on the front.

The failure was not avoiding running into the actual teetch of the defense it was not being willing to run into the teetch of the defense
twice. Run, timeout, run. Odds are they score a TD.

But Sea did not throw into the teeth of the defense --- it was man to man ... it was IMO the soft spot.

Imagine if the Hags had ran the ball instead? They would have had 2 superbowls and a mini dynasty. That's a no from me.

Both the Hags and the Titans should have run the ball to win.

Eddie George was unstoppable in the late 4th quarter and the Rams defensive line was really tired. D"marco himself said that if George got the ball instead of Dyson, there was no way they could stop him.

Beast Mode would have gotten in.
