As stated before, this really appears to be a rumor started by an Eagles media source looking for a way for their team to move up for Mariota.

Heck I dont even know if the source was just a fan.
I cant believe how much play one blip has gotten. "An anonymous source told NJ.com"...
I live in New Jersey and the LAST place I go for information is NJ.com and now somehow they've procured some inside info???

Frankly I find it embarassing how many respected reporters and media types have ran with this nonsense

That's debatable...neither guy has a cannon, and arm strength isn't what failed Austin Davis last season. It was his feet and decision making in the pocket vs the rush.

As far as Fales, despite not having elite arm strength, he's got other attributes that are appealing. Accuracy, competitiveness, intelligence, aggressive mentality, poise in the pocket.

There have been a lot of GREAT QB's over the years who were said ' Not to have great arm strength' coming into the league, Joe Montana, most notably! Not saying Fales is the next Montana, Just that arm strength is everything! As you noted Mojo!
