Leon Averaged 18 and 19 YPR in back to back years, not bad for the 'Run orientated' years of Football!

Next up From the GSOT, and My favorite TE of all time! Ernie Conwell:

And He could Block too!! ( Not that Faulk needed much room!)

Now We go to WR - Aaron Cox:

And A Very Special WR - Ron Smith:

Special, Why!? You ask! Because He caught our only TD pass in our SB Loss to the Steelers, on a option pass from Lawrence McCutchen!

I was very Pissed after this loss to say the least!!

Just for a little more Historical perspective let's look at the stats of the players we have so far.

* DE- Andy Robustelli-1951-55

Him being a Hall of Famer/ and being Old School/ he has stats on both sides of the Ball!
A 19th Round draft pick #228 overall, He was a 7 time Pro Bowler/6 time All Pro/he played in 59 games in his 5 year career with us. he had 2 INT's/for 24 Yds./and 2 TD's/13 FR's/for 47 Yds./ and 2 TD's/ and 1 Rec./for 49 Yds. and a TD! He played in 3 Post season games and had 1 FR/ and 2 Sacks.

* WR-Leon Clarke-1956-59

A 2nd round pick #14 overall, and 1 time Pro Bowler. Played in 43 games in his 4 seasons. He had 116 Rec./for 1680 Yds./a 15.8 aver./and 12 TD's/with a Long of 70 Yds.

* TE- Ernie Conwell-1996-2002

He was a 2nd Round draft pick,#59 overall, he wore #45 his 1st year then changed to #84. In his 7 season with the team he played in 84 Games and had 225 Targets/146 Rec./for 1574 Yds./a 10.8 aver./and 10 TD's/ he also Rushed 15 times for 81 Yds./and 2 TD's/ In 7 post season games he had 8 Rec./for 63 yds/ 2 FR's/ and 5 Tackles.

* WR-Aaron Cox-1988-92

A 1st round pick, #20 overall. played 7 seasons with us. in 71 games he had 98 Rec./for 1673 Yds./a 17.1 aver./ and 8 TD's

* WR-George Farmer-1982-84

A 9th round pick #248 overall in 1980. He played 3 seasons for the team and in 38 games he had 64 Rec./for 975 Yds./a 15.2 aver./and 7 TD's/ He also played in 3 Post season games and had 5 Rec. for 47 Yds. and a TD.

* WR-Ron Smith-1978-79

A 2nd round pick # 53 overall, in 2 seasons played in 28 games and had 17 Rec./for 315 Yds./ a 18.5 aver./and 1 TD. In his 5 Post season Games he had 3 Rec./for 79 Yds./a 26.3 aver./and 2 TD's/ with that long of 43 Yds.!!

* TE-Troy Drayton-1993-96

He was a 2nd round pick #39 overall. he played 4 seasons and in his 51 games he had 160 Targets/108 Rec./for 1064 Yds./a 9.9 aver./ and 14 TDs.
After this we Traded him to the Dolphins for Billy Milner.

* WR-Denario Alexander-2010-11

In his 2 seasons with the team he played in 18 games/he had 97 Targets/46 Rec./for 737 Yds./a 16.0 aver./ and 3 TD's.

* WR-Shaun McDonald-2003-06

A 4th round draft pick # 106 overall, in 4 seasons he played in 56 games/he had 182 Targets/106 Rec./for 1215 Yds,/an 11.5 aver./and 4 TD's/ he had 2 Post season games and had 5 Rec./ for 68 Yds./an aver. of 13.6.

* LB Bob Long-1960-61

He also wore Jersey #89 So his work up was done their!

* TE- Randy McMichael-2007-09

In 3 seasons he played in 36 games and had 84 Rec./for 900 Yds./a 10.7 aver./and 4 TD's.

Their are 6 other player, as yet un-mentioned, I'm going to try and work them in later today, but I have a Bug and I'm not 100% today.

I have high hope for Hemmingway, this year. I think competition at tight end will be fierce, and will emerge as a deep and strong position for the Rams.

84 will always be Snow to me. And when I see another guy wearing 84 I always think of him because he was the guy when I first laid claim to the Rams as a child.

I'm right there with you. I remember watching Gabriel and Snow connecting, watching Gabriel throw that perfect long ball down the sideline as Snow would run right under the ball in stride, it was a thing of beauty. Man @LesBaker we're getting old.
