The Fisher dislike is one thing, but guys betting on a man to get fired from his lively hood is pretty low.

You know, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that at $7 mil per year he's made with the Rams, he's banked enough money to get by. He may not have a job after this year, but with the coin he's made, he'll have plenty of livelihood.

What he has in the bank is not the point

What's happened to the Rams for the last twelve years is low. I have no empathy for a man that received $35m and couldn't even muster one winning season. All my empathy is used up for us poor supporters having to watch such awful football for twelve years.

Firing somebody and enjoying it should not be synonymous.
I've done plenty of it and never enjoyed it once. Pretty damn degrading for the person on the receiving end. Even though they deserve it.

I'm in the camp for a coaching change. Yes, something has to give. I think we can make those changes without enjoying the belittling of the recipient.

To each their own I guess.

It's gonna be a dark day here when he gets extended .... don't kid yourselves, it's coming.

yeah... I can feel it, too.

That typical game where the Rams rise up and steal a game they have no business winning is right around the corner.

And in typical Fisher fashion, he's going to point at THAT game as the norm for this team and the 9+ losses as aberrations that need to be fixed.

I'm not super sure, tho. But I dunno if this feeling is just my overwhelming HOPE that the Rams move on from Fisher or that there just isn't any more of a football case to keep him as the HC.

We get blown out by the Falcons and Patriots and I think his tenure will be at an end. The way the D gave up at the end...WITH a QB no less...lets me know that there's more going on here.

I got a feeling that the benching of GRob in the locker room may be seen from the inside as the coaches covering their butts more than "holding GRob accountable"...especially since nearly HALF of the calls against him were either bogus or not reciprocated on the opposing LT doing the same things to Quinn which means the Refs aren't calling Rams games uniformly.

*gasp!*

Who knows? At this point, I just want us to maybe win a few and get to the offseason healthy and to strike absolute gold for our next HC.

I dunno if that's too much to ask, but I'm asking.

dont know if anyone has listened to the goff presser after the game ...he sounds totally opposed to what fisher says

he says we got our butts kicked in all three phases of the game
re the two minute drill he said something like (im paraphrasing) " you could tell they didnt want to give drew the ball back with the play calls they were calling i just wanted to score "

thats winners mentality right there IMO

I hope he learns from his head scratching decision to spike the ball with one minute remaining when they had timeouts in their pocket. Well he will learn because he's smart and he wants to be a winner.

This scenario seems less likely with each passing week. It would be the first time in 50 years a HC got a sixth year after five non winning ones, since Landry. And he signed a ten year extension after year four, which put him in a much different position than Fisher.

I don't know why anyone would see Fisher getting extended as a slam-dunk at this point. I think the fact that it hasn't already happened (despite the rumors of it back in August) would signify that Coach 'Stache is auditioning to keep his job beyond the 2016 season -- and so far, the audition ain't going so well.

Plus, Stan wants to keep putting bums in seats at the Coliseum. It's better for business to put a better product on the field -- count me among those who believe Fisher was only kept on THIS long to help with the move back to LA.

I don't disagree, because despite the obvious need for change I see it coming too

Now after New England throws another 30 point beat down on us, maybe that will shake things up, but I doubt it

And that was a true expansion team with no free agency, and a draft where they had to compete with the AFL for players service. So not comparable

Perhaps you two should ask @flv (he's the guy, right) to put something in the sportsbook, straight up as to whether Fisher gets extended or not. Y'all being that confident in it, you shouldn't have any problem putting some of your fake money into it, right?

Nah, I don't want to be in any position where I'm rooting for an extension - I'm fully on the regime change bandwagon - I just fear (and expect) that it will happen.

If the Rams live up to how they've been under Fisher they'll probably beat the patriots. They seem to win games they shouldn't. At times they look like they could be a dominating team, only to falter against easier opponents.

I suppose anything is possible, however the Patriots don't lose often at home. This would be bigger upset than winning in Seattle last year.
Could be a trap game for New England with a game against Baltimore the following week.

I think fans tend to underestimate how difficult it is to move a team. Fisher was hired because Stan wanted a guy who could pull his team together and make a smooth transition into LA. He didn't care about wins. And he needed a QB for the future of LA. Obviously, Fisher feels he is a competent head coach and the switch to Goff was to save his job. But I truly believe the plan all along was to retain Fisher until the move and if he remained mediocre, get a brand new coaching staff and be ready for the playoffs by the time his big boy stadium was ready.

Nobody is betting on his getting fired, lets not start a controversy built on falsehood
Not getting extension is not even close to getting fired
