2012, well after the CVC and the stadium authority informed Kroenke they would not honor the lease.
It made no sense to pour 700 million into an old stadium when a new one could be built for a little more. No city in America has poured 700 million into a stadium renovation or even a new stadium. That's a poor use of tax payer funds. Plus Stan could opt out after 10 years. St Louis was willing to build 2 stadiums in a span of 20 years for the Rams. Stan Kroenke killed pro football in St Louis. We will never have another pro team in our town. We are a good sports city that supported the Rams. Outside of a 5 year period they sucked. I feel like LA deserves a team. I just don't feel St Louis got treated fairly.

Well that lease they signed didn't have anything in it about building a new stadium. They said they'd upgrade the dome to the top 10%. They didn't, which allowed the Rams to move back to LA.

Not gonna re-hash, just open old wounds.:deadhorse:

Dang I never liked Fish as a HC but I thought he was at least classy. Dude is salty as hell after being a failure for 5 seasons. Most HC's get 3 seasons max so i dont know what hes so mad about.

The Rams had the legal right to move. Kroenke increased his investment by moving. Those are facts nobody will dispute. Still doesn't mean St Louis should have lost a football team. The city supported the team and was willing to build a second stadium in 20 years for the team. That's unheard of.

The way the headline is written, it just sounds like more trigger fuel in what's already a dumpster fire of an organization (I'm referring to the NFL as a whole) and a dinosaur of a coach.

Despite Fisher's shortcomings, I'm still grateful that he managed to get us out of being perennial losers. One can argue that we had nowhere to go but up, but it's definitely possible we still could've been as perennially bad as the Browns. The players we had from 2007 - 2011, 90% of that roster is already out of the league.

I too am getting sick and tired of his excuses and his constant throwing everybody else under the bus. He was given the final say on the roster, was given plenty of budget for assistants, pretty much had whatever he wanted, and he still couldn't get them over the hump or get the offense out of the basement. And he ought to be a little more diplomatic. Other organizations will notice him trashing the Rams now and will take that into consideration as to whether to give him a shot at their job when it opens up.

.

So that's why stan hired Fisher. He wanted to make sure the Rams didn't have a winning season again before the move.

Trust Fisher to know exactly what to say to piss off Rams fans for no damned good reason.

People get lied to every day at work and just watching the television. Not sure why this is a big deal. He was hired to coach the team out of the depths of the NFL and relocate the team.

I knew back when they hired him they were going to be moving, it just really made a perfect business sense to move. I made sure I went to the Lou every year to savor it while it lasted.

I went to the first regular season home game in LA and likes the experience much more overall. Then again I haven't went since we been losing our ass to judge how it is now.

The thing is with the us from St. Louis it's if you guys follow the guidelines you stay. We got the money got the financing did everything in the guidelines. It's the fact that the NFL treated the city like a sideshow making us do all this while they were in their offices in New York laughing knowing damn well there was nothing we could do to keep them to stay. Now they making all type of special provision for the chargers an extra 300million to help pay their relocation fees. It's not the Rams moving that had the city upset it's the games that they played and then Kroenke bashing the city on his way out

Why am I not surprised that Fisher is gonna tell all.

The NFL is a bit mobish.

Snitches get stitches... All this talking isn't going to help him.
He's the main reason that people snitch on him, he creates his own problems and doesn't like it when someone talks about it. Kind of like a car accident, everyone driving by is going to look at it, yet no one likes the traffic it creates from all the rubber necking.

But aren't we though? High water mark was 7 wins, never came close to an actual winning season
Maybe we didn't suck as bad, but 9 or 10 losses a year still makes your team a perennial loser

So who is your top 3 HC guys? Just asking is all

You're talking about candidates for the Rams job, I assume, right?

I don't have a lot of research on anyone, and it's hard to have anything but a gut feel on who you like and who you think will be a good fit.... so it's probably similar to what a lot of people are saying, but I would say my top 3 are probably (in no order) Kyle Shanahan, Asshole Face, and Matt Patricia.

Fisher is responding to questions not calling a press conference....therefore people want to know.

He did raise the club from1-15 to mediocre.

I had hope for Fisher to do better but it didn't happen, so we move on. Call him names and verbally abuse him if you need to.

I find some of the answers interesting, so good to hear more information.
