Has quickly warped into one of the most irritating weeks of the year.

1. Greg Robinson is not starting. Apparently, that is the tell-all for his career. Suddenly, Les Snead should be questioned as well.

Oh, but don't go providing reasons otherwise, or you'll be called a "homer." Yeah, heaven forbid me liking my own team's players. FUCK OFF.

2. It's official. This is the beginning of the end of the Rams in St. Louis. Based on...nothing. Move them now, because the PD said it was most likely. The stadium is ready to be built, and Stan Kroenke bought some land out there. It must be happening!!!!! Wake me up when they actually announce it.

3. Sam's press conference, the media was so incredibly snarky. "What's your future? What's your future? Is it in St. Louis? What's your future?" He doesn't fuckin know. Next question.

4. Wait a second, you're meaning to tell me week 1 of the most watched professional sports is about to start? Huh, never crossed my mind. Was so busy fuckin SPECULATING over SHIT I CAN'T CONTROL, that I didn't even notice.

5. Here's a thought, as almost every other city in the NFL is talking about ...dahh their team, Rams coverage isn't like that. Instead of speculating, why not talk about something that will happen? Like, an actual regular season game? The team has one of the best front 7s in the game. Young RBs looking to make an impact, young WRs who suddenly become real players, the potential of a really nice OL, etc etc.

I'm so over this shit.

Wait, not really.

Can you please, just once anywhere on this entire forum, point out where anyone has said such a thing?

You know what is getting just as bad as the PD with their trolling negativity? Anytime someone has a question or concern it getting blow way out of proportion and turned into some diabolical sticking point.

Stop.Breath. It'll be ok if everything isn't sunshine and lollipops in every single thread. We can still be optimistic fanatics and still have a few questions and/or concerns.

Granted, I'm exaggerating about the "tell-all of his career", but it pisses me off. Based on not starting 1 game of 1 season, of his rookie year.

The Les Snead thing is more on the focus of that, plus Isaiah Pead, Rok Watkins (ugh), and maybe Brian Quick.

I hate the mentality of the local media. I don't see anywhere where it makes me EXCITED about this season. I'm pumped as well, but b/c it's OUR team. Media should help the fan base connect with the team, not be fuckin depressed about it the majority of the time.

And...being objective vs. what I'm talking about has a difference. I'm worried about our run D stopping Adrian Peterson, Lesean McCoy, Frank Gore, Demarco Murray, and a sleuth of other top back this season. I'm worried about injuries. I'm worried about increased turnovers by the offense, b/c of a backup QB.

I sure as hell am not gonna judge or question anything based from pure speculation.

I wasn't thinking about any of that. I'm just waiting to watch the Rams play Sunday.

I'm confused. I thought the most exciting week of the year is the week before the Rams are in the Super Bowl this season. Am I wrong?

You are as right as anyone else. No one can see the future.

I am as big a Rams fan as there ever was, but I refuse to go to extreme prognostication or ridiculous expectations. If the Rams win it all I will be very happy, but I also realize that we could go 5-11. Why not just enjoy the ride?

I am still excited to see what this season can bring, even with the problem issues we have had already. bUT ..... my expectations are NOT Super Bowl bound. I'm expecting a more talented team that can and will play with just about anybody. And with a little luck on the injury front, just might vie for a playoff spot.

The good that I am seeing is that we will NOT be one of the bottom 5 teams in the league. We might be just "average" ... which is much better than our recent past ... or we might just end up being pretty good .... WHOA! I am stoked!

The media in this town is a bunch of homers compared to other, larger towns and publications. You really won't find softer, gentler coverage.

I dont know what he is even talking about.

This week as been a terrible week for the main paper covering the Rams, right before opening day. Instead of hearing opinions about this week's game, it has been polluted with criticizing the FO because Greg Robinson isn't starting, why the Rams will really leave, and other negative speculation.

When instead the coverage can be about matchups, young players that may be impactful, the potential revival of vets like Davin Joseph and Kenny Britt, things like that.

Man there's so many things that can be discussed instead of the crap that is.

I don't watch a LOT of sports talk or news so I hadn't noticed all this supposed negativity.

And this town is known for having some of the best most supportive fans who don't appreciate the self serving prima donnas you speak of in those towns.

I just don't see this negativity. I see a few articles that question:

The #2 pick not starting. Anytime the #2 doesn't break the starting lineup no matter what the team there's going to be questions.

Little optimistic talk of Shaun Hill. The franchise QB out for the year is going to raise doubts and questions.

The potential revival of little known vets is not newsworthy really until it happens. They've already covered these players throughout camp and had good things to say.

The potential exit of the team is not exactly back-burner news story, no matter how badly us die-hards want to talk about something else.

I just don't see the huge issues with the PD. As for Burwell's story, even though I rarely agree with his opinions or his overly flowery descriptions of his favorite players, I viewed his article today as his genuine attempt to DO SOMETHING. I don't think his intention is to whip up negativity, I think it's his way of trying to help keep a team here.
