I’m probably not alone, huh?

I mean, I expected a close hard fought game.

But the way the game unfolded? Geez...

It kinda feels like the Rams snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, you know?

Eagles dominated statistically, but Rams made key play after key play sometimes on D, on ST, and a few on O. Had the lead late in the 4th qtr and the ball, dammit!

Sigh...

The good news is that we can play with anybody. The bad news is that we must re-group in several areas. And quickly.

McVay has to emphasize Gurley more.
Hope Whit and Hav are healthy by Sunday.
Tree should be in better shape by then, too.
Woods will surely be back. That’s huge.
Let’s hope and pray that TruJo is cleared AND has had a come to Jesus meeting about controlling his temper.
Wade is gonna have to work his magic to scheme around the Webster loss, especially vs Wilson. Gulp.
We can’t give the Seahawks a 20 minute TOP advantage like we did the Eagles.

Probably the single biggest piece of good news is that we still control our own destiny. Priceless. But a win on Sunday is imperative somehow, some way.

Gotta go to work. Lol.

I knew when they let the first Hags game slip through their fingers , they would have to beat them in their house .
That's why yesterday was an enormous loss . Can they win a game they have to with pressure mounting ? I have no clue

I can't wait for my man to have the condensed game available for download.

I'm going to watch that game probably a few more times this week.

meh....he hasn't learned that yet? he don't want to.

Some guys have the "look at me" syndrome on the field...and I'd guess, paying him $17 million contributed to his disease.....

Not the reason we lost...but it helped.

Strange feelings, ehhh 43???? I think we learned what we're missing. CB, DT, and LB's for son of bum...

Once again I was an asshole to the rest of the family during a football game. I kept it together through 3 quarters with only a few small Tourette's outbursts. But the 4th quarter I was not the person I want to be in front of my family.
Moral of story....(and this sucks)...I am going to have to find a place to watch future games in complete solitude.

The lead changes, though stressful, were not what did me in. What really unleashed my Mr. Hyde was the drive extending penalties gifted to the Eagles, and our team having to use silent count in our own frickin' stadium.
You want to know what my strongest conflicting emotion was after the game? I missed the "St. Louis" Rams. I loved going to games there. The dome would have been rocking. I'm talking ears bleeding. This team has no home field advantage. I'm almost relieved there is limited possibilities of a playoff game in LA after this loss.
I need to forget about football for a while, and tap into some ZEN.
It's just a game. I need to find my inner -X- before next Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

I have chilled out over time.
Decade plus of bad ball has engrained me low expectations. I expect the worst.
So, kid fourth, still in the game.
I'm ok with that overall.

People need to ease up on McVay using Gurley more.

This has been a hard one to swallow, obviously, but at the end of the day, our offense had the ball at home down by 2 with almost 4 minutes remaining - and we didn't pick up a first down. And the main reason for that? We lost yards on a first down run on our last true offensive possession.

It was probably not a great call on the play action pass, and McVay took responsibility for that - but it sure looked like Sammy was coming open..

I'm pissed off the refs influenced the game so much in the Eagles favor.

I'm pissed off our coach continues to make questionable calls at key junctions of the game and hurts us. Love the man he's done an amazing job with the team. But he's developing Andy Reid habits.

I'm disappointed my fellow fans are throwing TruJo under the boss after he made two good plays and was flagged with bad cal,s.

I really woul like to see Gurley with 10 touches a game and Malcolm Brown with 5-10. I'm over Tavon Austin.

I love our special teams, we continue to have the best in the league.

By lunch time I'll be on to the Seahawks though.

If you saw the Seattle game, you would have seen how drained they are. The Rams will be drained, too.....
There will be a lot more injuries if there is a battle royale in Seattle.....

We are not the same ol rams , this team has the will to win . They also have great coaches that made all of the right adjustments at half time .

I am very happy with this team but we need this win against Seattle. Funny to see myself type this but I would be disappinted if these guys didn't make the playoffs .

No more stupid plays and penalties!

I would rather lose to them in the regular season and beat them in the playoffs. Without Wentz that should be a bit easier.

I wonder if iggles.fans would rather have a clean officiated game and lose.the game but still have Wentz

All the water and rocks in the world will not help one bit. For example, I'm still not over the Super Bowl loss to the Pats. Still feels like yesterday. I think the only cure is a Super Bowl Win by the Rams!

I think we got hit at the wrong time for both our OT's to get rolled up on from behind low by Eagles & not friendly fire. Get off the damn ground iggles. Penalties seemed to be 3rd down drive extenders each time. We play great on 1st & 2nd down. Tree was a WARRIOR to play with one arm & if healthy would of had more splash plays and stops and knocked the ball free on catches. We needed him in even injured. When Whitworth left you could feel it in the drive blocking on rushes. We should have checked out of that 1st down run to Gurley as they expected it and were stacked in & an audible would have been nice to trust Goff.

When Havenstein got rolled up his backup did a worse job on right side then his drop off at left. We are just too dang thin at OL. It's amazing our starting OL has played this far into a season. I'm sure we are the only team with as few games with the same five lineing up. So we been blessed. It showed bigtime against eagle two deep defensive line was too fresh late in game.

We need one thing more than most others. That's to get Jared Goff some PLAYOFF game experience as their is nothing like it. Not like the Viking,Saints,Eagles & Seahawk games are not almost equal to the win and you move on type game.

We've come so far in one offseason & season. Goff needs to need to break free from burning the full clock and do a better pre-read job of the "D". We wasted too much time and gave their "D" a rest & time to sub out when tired when we were gashing them. They couldn't stop us. We stopped ourselves getting too cute. We'll work these things out but I feel this weeks game is a division game & hump WE MUST GET OVER. Hoping Woods & Barwin returning will make up for super thin CB spot. We can't seem to cover tight ends all season. This one this week has 2 that kill us each time. They'll use them to score each time.

I really want this win like we all do as we can win out & get Goff that precious Playoff experience he needs to take that next step and wentz will not have had it yet. Wentz may have to change his game as mariota & him keep getting hit more and more. Only Wilson has nine lives. Even Aaron Rodgers finally got zapped. Goff will start stepping up next season and stop with the always deep drops for sacks. Move up and throw kid. Avoid the rush more instinctive like Warner did. It's coming. I'm glad we have Goff & we can see how high his ceiling is in 7-8 years. GO RAMS. & refill this roster next season.DEPTH everywhere. It's a vicious and lucky game to make it through clean. Pats seem to do it yearly. We need so much on D. Gonna take another brilliant offseason.

Yes. Very Fisher-like. Dare I say Chuck Knox-like. One of the things I have enjoyed most about this year, and the GSOT 3-year stretch is the dominance the Rams exhibited, and the confidence that we were in control. That has been missing in some of these recent games. Minnesota, Philly, even the New Orleans game to some degree. (I believe I will address the deeper aspect of where I am going here in a fresh thread later.)

Once again I was an icehole to the rest of the family during a football game
Ouch. I hear you brother. One of the thing I would admonish all of us to do: Know how to channel our Ram emotions. I have been told by my wife that I can be very short during Ram games. And worse after a loss. Make an effort to love our families guys. Losing a family relationship makes losing the Super Bowl to Brady look like a cakewalk.

I'm disappointed my fellow fans are throwing TruJo under the boss after he made two good plays and was flagged with bad cal,s.
I agree. TruJo needs to have a little self-control. But that was horse-crap. If the Zebras really want to crack down at that point throw off-setting penalties. That way it doesn't advantage one team over the other. In this case it was devastating to the Rams. (And to the Eagles, as it turns out, with the Wentz injury)

I really woul like to see Gurley with 10 touches a game and Malcolm Brown with 5-10. I'm over Tavon Austin.
10?? for Gurley? You mean 20-25? Or are you talking about passing targets?

I love our special teams, we continue to have the best in the league.
This is an untold story. To the point I alluded to earlier, our special teams is special. (n) No. Not short bus special. Scholarship special. It keeps us in games. It sets up short fields. It pins teams deep, making them work with longer fields. It sets up safety opportunities for our defense. It blocks punts. It hits long field goals when other teams are punting. It makes our offense look better.

I may be mistaken but didn't the penalty on Tru wind up being the reason the eagles extended the drive and ultimately Wentz getting injured?

I don't harp on the refs too often but I can't count how many times a Rams defender was close to stripping Wentz of the ball while an eagles lineman had a handful of jersey which prevented it. Saw our linebackers jerseys tugged in key moments allowing the ball carrier to make big gains.

And then that leverage call..... They ended up with a FG but they milked another 3 minutes off the clock which may or may not have made the difference.

If the Rams don't queue up a huge defensive draft, we're gonna be in trouble next year.

We might need 2 CBs; one definitely but at this point with Web going down so much and NRC also being a FA the need might be more than one.

DL needs help on the nose at the least. Wade does a great job with what he has, but honestly we just need to reload some DL and get him some help.

And linebackers. We need at least a blindside edge guy, which can be tough to find. Need a thumper inside too.

Rams can probably solve some of this stuff in FA, but there is no doubt we need an influx of fresh defenders in this draft, mixed in around hopefully a LT project type.

I do no understand why people are complaining about the amount of "Touches" Gurley had in this game, like it was too few! He had:
* 13 rushes for 96 yards / a 7.4 average / 2 TD's / with a Long of 30 yards.
And
* 3 receptions in 5 Targets for 39 yards!
That's 16 touches, not a lot, but not ' Very Few' either!

If we can beat Seattle, the Rams very well could feel even MORE confident in the playoffs. It would be an emotional win, for sure.

Through that lens, we just need to move on and focus on this next W.
