At the end of every new NFL season, we get 6 teams from each conference that earn a ticket to the single elimination post season party.

Some of the teams that will make it back this year will be the usual suspects, while others might be returning to the tournament for the first time in several years.

Obviously the choice for most would be to have the Rams as the NFC #1 seed. I'm interested to see who and why your 12 teams selected would be where you seed them.

For various personal reasons, I'm sure some of the 12 teams some will select might be unrealistic because maybe you can't stand certain teams being in the playoffs.

Again, I'm not asking for predictions just your personal wish list if you could magically select all the 12 playoff teams that you want to see make the playoffs..

This would be my preferred wish if I could hand select all of the 12 playoff contestants.

NFC Playoff Seeds

#1 Cowboys - The Stars are here for the Rams to face in the NFC championship.
#2 Packers - The Pack are the 2nd seed and host one game at Lambeau field.

#3 Rams - The horns are here so they get 3 playoff games hosting Philly in first round.
#4 Falcons - Last years scoring machine to host NY in a classic first round match-up.
#5 Giants - Eli vs Ryan and the elite WR's Odell vs Julio.
#6 Eagles - Wentz & his Eagles fly to Los Angeles to square off against Goff's Rams.

AFC Playoff Seeds

#1 Patriots - Need to include the evil empire to spice up the playoffs.
#2 Raiders - The silver & black are loaded with beast mode and Carr.

#3 Titans - Mariota to host Flacco and the Ravens.
#4 Steelers - Big Ben & company battle the defensive juggernaut Texans.
#5 Texans - JJ Watt and his defense ready to rumble in Pittsburgh.
#6 Ravens - John Harbaugh returns to the playoffs at Tennessee.

What Teams and how would your 12 seeds look like?

I was curious if you could hand select all 12 playoff teams yourself, what would be your preferred top 12 teams and how would you want them seeded?

Your NFC predictions are pretty bold, Florida.

I'm a notorious Ram honk, but even I don't see them as the #3 seed.

I don't see 3 NFC East teams making the playoffs, either. They're gonna beat each other up too much, I think.

How about this?

#1 Cowboys
#2 Packers
#3 Bucs or Panthers. Don't laugh, Bucs might surprise and Panthers should bounce back. Falcons O will suffer without Shanahan and LaFleur, imo.
#4 Seahawks win division (until someone proves otherwise)

Wild cards are:

#5 Rams
#6 Giants or Cards (either of which must survive a tough division battle to make the playoffs)

Cowboys are my preseason favorite to be in SB.

Oops!

Sorry, Florida.

Does this fall into the "if all else fails, read the instructions" column?

The medical term for my affliction is "occasional brain farts".

Carry on, sir!

A lot of history influenced mine.
Steelers, Patriots, & Titans because of past Super Bowls. Chargers being the fellow LA team. Broncos because they're AFC West and competitive. Chiefs because of Missouri ties. Wish there was another spot for the Raiders.

Vikings, Cowboys, & Buccaneers due to historic playoff match-ups. 49ers due to rivalry. Saints due to old NFC Western ties (could've put Falcons here or Seahawks).

* AFC North - Steelers { To Avenge SB XIV Loss!}
* AFC South - Texans
* AFC West - Raiders { Because they NEVER Belonged in L.A.!}
* AFC Wild Card - Chiefs { Just because there from MO.!}
* AFC Wild Card - Broncos { To keep piece in the House. My Wife's Favorite Team}

* NFC East - CowPie's { Because I Hate them, and want to whoop them!}
* NFC North - Packers { My Son's Favorite Team! I Have Fun Beating His Team!}
* NFC South - Buc's { I think they make some noise this year!}

Just too Bad I couldn't Fit the 49ers in, for a Vengeance Game! But sweeping them this Season will do!!

I'd pick teams that have been away from the postseason tournament for a while and fan bases that badly need a reprieve from years of mediocrity. Those Cinderella stories and surprise teams have always been my favorite.

AFC

Bills
Dolphins
Raiders
Browns
Titans
Jaguars

NFC

Eagles
Rams
Lions
Bears
Bucs
Saints

Let the Packers, Patriots, Steelers, Seahawks sit at home in January. It'll be good for them, builds character. Fans of those teams could stand to learn a little humility.
