We've seen this from Fisher before. His team comes out either too hot or too cold and unable to execute and games turn ugly.

Then the very next week, we'll field a team that looks playoff bound.

It's maddening, but I think it's a reality of having a young team and a "players Coach" running things.

I still believe this defense has top-5 ability and coaching. Will they reach their potential? I don't know, but I think we will see a much better effort from them this season.
If the offense can cut out the pre snap penalties and EXECUTE (engage and maintain blocks, know their assignment) and the defense approaches their potential, this season will end up being an enjoyable one, regardless of who is under center.

Come on Coach. It's time to use the hidden weapon under your mustache and remind the league why you are so well respected.

With a new system comes new expectations from each player. What we call "gelling"...that's what has to happen on the defense, they have to gel. As they do that, then players KNOW they can't count on the player on the sides, back and front of them.

I'm not sure I really got an idea of Williams scheme...but I know to play it you must have good instincts and be aggressive. When you can rely on those around you...it's easy to be aggressive!

If nothing else, you'd hope.

We sacked their QB 7 times last year. Don't think their o-line is improved enough to overcome 7 sacks.

I definitely expect a different team on the field Sunday afternoon.

Time to even the record 1-1.

That would be nice. Might need them to score once or twice as well because I have my doubts about that offense.
Just imagine if they BOTH came to play on a gameday! (MIND.BLOWN)

I'm right there with you.

The offense has a lot of pressure to deliver. It's time.

we have enough of a delegation from ROD heading there for the game and will be liquored up..if the D sucks, we may just kick em off the field and take their place!!!

Well the defense showed up last week, though they were called upon to take up the slack way too much. Eventually they got burnt out by the 3rd quarter. I do believe the defense will be explosive again tomorrow, but if its Deja vu allover don't be surprised. Go Rams!

Defense is gonna rock and roll. McCown will remember playing us last year - as will the Tampa O-line (even without that turnstyle Penn who got cut because of the Mighty Quinn!). Only thing I'm slightly worried about is the height of their receivers vs our D-backs. They could be like basketball on turf. Hopefully McClown wont have time to throw it up there too often.

Enjoy my friend, but if you have to come on the field, we're in deep........ Get us a win now.

I have no doubts that the defense will show up tomorrow. If the offense shows up for even half of the game, they should win easily.

Gains has experience agaisnt Evans, and Jenkins did prtty well against Jackson so there I think we matchup well, missing Long gotta believe we blitz a lot so tight coverage will be needed

I have seen the game against CAR (I always watch the previous game of our next opponents).Their OL have so many problems that if we are not going to dominate it ... would be very, very, very disappointing.I known the CAR DL is terrific, but we are not less strong then it.
Come on guys it's time to win!

This^ Brings me to my game day prediction, for the D. Hayes-2 sacks, Donald-2 sacks, Brockers-2 sacks, Quinn-3 sacks and 2 FF's, TJ McDonald- 1 sack, Ogletree -1 INT Returned for a TD, Jenkins-2 INT's 1 for a TD! And "That's the way it goes for 'Sack City'!!":D

7 sacks sounds about right for today's game! What better way for Robert Quinn to celebrate his extended contract than to go out and get 2-3 sacks today?!

I'd love it if we came out with Simms at RE and surprised the Buccaneers by putting Quinn in at LE, maybe not the whole game but at least have some packages that might catch their protections off guard.

He usually manages to get a FF when-ever he gets a 'Hat-Trick'! ( 3 sacks )
