Well... it looks like a bomb went off in my neighborhood. All trees are damaged or down. There are oak limbs everywhere. It's still blowing like a bitch right now... but I think the worst has past.

Somehow... and this is an absolute miracle... my power is still on.

Lost power, but took quick shower after work before hot water cooled off. Winds pretty stout here still. Trees are raining limbs but still holding up. Wife isn't liking it too much.

Well, we're all safe at my mom's. Only damage to my house is one of our oak trees wanted to take a dip in the pool.

We are so blessed all things considered.

Gonna wait one more day to take off the shutters, but otherwise, we're good.

Sorry for those of you on the west coast of Florida. Hope all turned to well. It was no fun over here on the east coast(Vero Beach). That was 1 big ass storm. It just seemed like the wind would never stop.

My uncle lives near Pensacola, FL. I just got a text from him with a picture and text saying "I bought a cake for her and she didn't even show up!"

He was lucky.

We still don't have power.

But we are out at our favorite Mexican restaurant... and their frozen margaritas are strong AF. Their air conditioning is great too.

Trees down everywhere. Still lots of traffic lights not working. Makes for dangerous driving.

Lots of flooding too... we are lucky in that department though.

These margaritas are sooooooooo good.

Can't wait to get back to our hot ass house... with the sound of our generator blazing through the night.

Fuck irma. Skank.

Well, I posted the dmg to my house.

I'm blessed, tho. Everyone is safe. We have power and I was able to shuffle some things around so that I can still go to Minneapolis.

Gonna be awhile until I see something other than that oak in my pool, tho.

I just got back after two trips back and forth from St. Pete........helping out up there while checking on things down here.

Max texted me no lie just as I was picking up the phone to text him as I passed his exit. Very cook right!

My power just came on about an hour ago and I swear this is the first site I visited. :sneaky:

I'll post some details later.

This should be noted. The person in charge of cleanup and recovery is getting the job like a boss.

Details soon.

Let me just say this...

I am very happy to hear that you guys have power, BUT, hearing people say that is now starting to piss me the fuck off. You guessed it, I still don't have power.

I can't believe that people down in Naples and that area have power before me here in Seminole County. There are still traffic lights that aren't working in Winter Park. Our friends who live in Naples that came up here because of the storm already have power too.

I just filled up my generator again. I now smell like gas... I'm somehow beginning to be able to ignore the strong gas fume smell.

I have food... but cooking at home without AC is for crazy people. I'm gonna go out and eat in some AC every day until my power is back on.

Oh... and sleeping without AC blows ass. Opening the windows only allows the loud roar of generators to scream even louder in your head.

I need to go pour myself a huge cocktail now.

I just hope some pour bastard doesn't come up to me later at the gas station and tell me that his fucking power is back on.

She's lucky to find one of those because they are all taken around here. My doctor was able to find one... he's at the Embassy Suites. He says the whole place is like a giant dog park. Apparently they are allowing pets because of the storm. He said if you walk in the hallways... packs of dogs will nearly run you over. But he has AC.

I can't leave here anyway due to having to fill the generator every 6 or 7 hours... plus my animals don't travel like dogs. I'm stuck no matter what.

Oh... and guess what?

My friends who live ON THE BEACH just called me to tell me that their power just came on.

My power came back on yesterday!!!!! Sorry George. I've been cleaning the yard for the last two days and still haven't gotten close to done but thankful I have no trees down. My house is polka dotted with leaves stuck all over it. I think I'll leave it that way for awhile. :sneaky: Thankful that everyone is safe. Could of been a whole lot worse.

Hang in there, I know the feeling. Lost power during a storm for 5 days, had no generator to boot. Never really need one up these ways. We would go out for pizza and charge the phones come home, sleep and off to work. Of course the wife and kids were stuck at home with nothing.
