So after trading away all those high 5 draft picks for a QB...Rams need to sign a QB because our QB is not ready in his second year to play?

Most all fellow members know that I did not like "The Trade". But I also know that if McVay was to turn his primary focus on the Rams OL in order that Goff was not being assaulted & battered each & every time he dropped back that Goff would make Michael Lombardi eat his sorry youtube!

Rams 2016 OL was a walking MASH unit ether exiting the tent or waiting for a empty table in the unit. And it began early with injuries in OTA's & early TC. The Rams lost LT Darrell Williams & LG Garrett Reynolds before the season began. LG Saffold (surgery/Hand), LG Brown (broke hand), OC Barnes (fracture Bones in foot) RT Havenstein (broken big toe) & RG Cody Wichmann (high ankle sprain). RG Andrew Donnal injured hip. Leaving only one starter Robinson, the rest were reserves Rhaney, Arkin & Pace Murphy as the only healthy OL'ers.

How about
1.trade tru for a 2nd or third rounder..saves the team 16 million .let tj McDonald walk, I believe the pass rush is going to be nuts and not much pressure will be out on safety position.
2. Draft a big wr and a cb with 2nd and 3rd round picks. Deep draft at both positions.
3.draft safety, olb, guard, center, and Pass rush with rest of picks .
4. Go after Jeffrey, or stills in free agency. If neither then we need to resign Britt.
5.resign Benny Cunningham or bring on Jamal Charles if cheap
6. Bring in Lt and guard free agents with money saved on tru.

1 - Draft the best center in the draft if he's there in the 2nd
2 - Spend some draft capital on depth/rotational edge rushers
3 - Spend some draft capital on two young, high-upside corners
4 - Spend FA money on a reliable (albeit probably not top-10) left tackle - Reiff or Kalil
5 - Sign two young-but-broken-into-the-league WRs - Robert Woods and one of Kendall Wright, Michael Floyd, Justin Hunter, or Kamar Aiken
6 - Sign Kyle Juszczyk

They need more out of the talent they already have.

They also have deeper and more significant issues to address.

1) This organization needs to demonstrate a commitment to excellence. Losing has to be regarded as unacceptable.

Whenever Demoff or Fisher was asked about the Rams problems, they just rattled off a long list of excuses as to why they couldn't win. When Kroenke was asked about it, it's "We're the youngest team in the NFL." The expectation of winning just hasn't been there.

All parties involved claimed at various times, the Rams were competitive. They finished last year on a 1-11 run.

Every team has circumstances that could prevent them from winning. No more rationalizing failure.

2) They need a roadmap to success and to execute that plan.

Snead has publically made a series of bold goals, but on at least a couple; "Build to dominate using Wash picks"; "Resigning defensive backs is priority A" he hasn't come close to delivering. Come back down to earth, Les, be a little more realistic and pragmatic. And don't put stuff out there if you can't follow through.

3) No more front office leaks.

Never heard if the people talking to Albert Breer were ever found out or disciplined by the organization. A fireable offense IMO. If those are still working here, the Rams are still dysfunctional, and it will happen again.

4) Need to restore some faith in a fractured fan base.

They extended Fisher as a coach and then kept it secret because of how it might be perceived. This forced Fisher and Demoff to play dumb through most of the season and insulted our intelligence. Then they leaked it during a lengthy losing streak. It could not have been handled worse.

We don't need to know everything, but a little honesty every now and then would be nice. It makes it difficult to trust a front office that practices this sort of behavior.
