Please answer the poll and tell us why the Mcvay Era will come to an end. Gurley turns 30? Wade kicks the bucket?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I went 8-9 years because with the 4 SB titles in those years he will want to move on to spend time with his future wife and children.

hopefully about 10+ years ... with lots of winning involved a couple of superbowls ...him and Goff riding off into the sunset and fitted for gold jackets in canton ... with a bunch of coaches ready to hire in house to continue the winning ... we had 10+ years of losing i think we are due a few good years

Given Kroenke's love for consistency in coaching (look at Arsenal with Wenger, look at Fisher) and how amazing McVay has looked this year in all parts of the HC job, I can definitely see him stay for a very long time.

He'll stay until Kroenke's kids start wanting a new stadium....

I went with 8-9 years.... because after that, the Rams massively bloated fanbase of bandwagoners will start complaining constantly about us going 9-7 and 8-8 during back to back years after rebuilding our ancient roster...
....its hard to move on from guys like Donald and Gurley, Old man Ogletree, Woods, Joyner... after all those SBs....

Mcvay is definitely a 10+ years coach. There's nothing to say his teams won't be good every year. The team is so solid every week. A consistent team is a sign of good coaching. Whatever he does he does it well.

I see no reason why he can’t coach for 30 years. That would put him at 61 years old. We should have at least 10 Super Bowls by then.

Could see the model of Tomlin in Pittsburgh.
Hire a young talented guy and keep him for 10+ years. I think McVay is more talented that Tomlin however.
Have to draft well.

Just watching nfl live.

Schefter said that wilks had only one hc interview last year and that was with the rams. Said the rams were ahead of their time interviewing such a hot commodity this year. And for hiring mcvay, on Louis' recommendation.

Was that a joke because Louis had been all in on the rams this year or did the rams actually ask him for his advice? I highly doubt they did.

Fisher got five years and never had a winning season so how much time will McVay have/get?

This team is set up to have some staying power and not be a flash in the pan. Our Rams have the youngest head coach, one of the youngest QB's, many other young core players, a young GM, a soon to be new stadium, and even a relatively young owner (By NFL standards).

I voted 8-9 years. I hope that or more can be the case but I know nothing is certain. On the flip side, unexpectedly bad things can happen and life can turn on dime to destroy promising futures. (I have been around long enough to witness such things).

James 4:14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

Bottom Line - Nothing is certain, so enjoy the moment!!

Let's take it one year at a time and hopefully McVay goes down in Ram history as their greatest Head Coach and by the time McVay retires, I will be in Senior Living beating the hell out of any 49er fan.

Let’s face it. He’ll be here until the Almighty returns, judging that Fisher got five years on that 7-9 (at best) record.

I hope it turns into that anyway. Rams dynasty, baby.

Anyway, I voted for the ten year to infinity option. Who knows!

I am just going a decade at a time.

:sneaky:

In all seriousness; if he can evolve and navigate “down seasons”, I see no reason he couldn’t be here for a very very long time.

The ownership is in place for patience. How long that remains the same is anyone’s guess.

Hoping for a bellicheck style tenure
This is my feeling too!^^^ It, McVay & Goff, will be Beelicheck & Brady like! They will Win 12-15 SB together, and leave no doubt as to who the G.O.A.T. are!!!! GO RAMS!!

I put 8-9 years. Not that I think he'd get fired after that time, but being a HC is so intense I can see him wanting a break at some point, spend a little time with his kids, get paid a fortune to do TV (he is good at dealing with the press, after all).

I have no doubt mcvay would be the best tv analyst in the history of tv analysis.
