Keep saying it: all cops need to be wearing cams at all times, that cannot be turned off. Have them run a 24hr loop. It's for their protection as well as the populace.

We got enough probs without dudes makin $#!T up to instigate more BS.

I agree, it'll keep citizens safe and it'll keep actual good cops safe.

How must his teammates who came out in very vocal support of him feel now?

Another thing too is the Vegas cops are pretty solid. They're so attuned to the fact that this is a resort city that they're relatively careful in handling folks, so when this broke it really surprised me (again I live here).

When you get out of the county up into northern Nevada the cops can be pretty rough. I got manhandled, pulled from my vehicle and put face down in the dirt mind you, for doing 30mph over the speed limit. Was a rental and I wasn't paying attention, but the cop felt I didn't stop quickly enough (didn't see him initially). My shoulder was sore for a few days after that, the way he arrested me. I'm talkin gun pointed at me while he twisted my arm way up and behind like I was going to try something.

Shit was scary man. Been real careful since though when I drive that corridor north though, I'll tell you that. Because the wife wasn't happy with the ticket cost.

Hey, time to have a march or block traffic or something.
Sadly, this is the SJW, if there isent anything real, just make it up. Why let facts play a role when I can try to appeal to the emotions of stupid people.
F him. POS.
Take a knee entitled hypocritical douchebag.
Chop block his ass first play of the game.
Not because of this but because both he and Sherman are emotionally retarded. Cheap shot either one of them early and they will be out of sorts the whole game.
And yes, I woukd employ that into the game plan.
Not to try and injure either guy but get them a good late shot....they can't handle it.

I suspected it as such when he told the story a full week later.

Plus, he looks a lot more idiotic after the actions of the LVPD, preventing what happened Sunday night from being even MORE tragic.

I have had a gun pointed at me three times in my life. Once by a cop. None of them were fun experiences. The least scary was the cop. I understood the situation and he is a professional at least. But anytime a gun comes out it is a bad situation.

Just an FYI, I support the players kneeling and many people don't like it and I understand.

I posted this not as an effort to discredit the protests I don't want to do that at all. I posted it because he is a fucking liar, and a piece of shit for fanning flames when they don't need fanning.

This was a terrible lie and it was a terrible time to do it. I hope somebody is calling him out for it, whether its team matges, coaches, ownership or even Goodell. If I was Roger I'd send a tweet to him.

This is uncalled for, he should be forced to apologize to the police.

I would hope this would fall under the NFL code of conduct and he would face some kinda you need to go sit in the corner with the dunce hat on.

I too called BS when his statement came out.

I think a lot of people did, I did too because in a crowd there would have been 50 people with cell phones out taking video of a white cop holding a gun to a black guys head. It didn't add up.

I wonder if lying about something like this is a violation of the code.

At the very, VERY least someone should let him know he owes the police an apology. With the strained environment we are currently in there is no need to tell a lie like that when you have a platform like he does when people are ACTUALLY AND REALLY having police point guns at them. And too often pulling the trigger.

Just a question, Les. Why? The kneeling, by the way, came from the original gesture by Kaepernick to sit on the bench during the anthem. He was convinced to kneel as a tactical shift. The flag represents equality under the law. Liberty and freedom. The Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the greatest experiment in freedom in the history of mankind. The very vehicle that is the ally on any perceived grievance. And the cool thing is, these athletes have a platform, and the resources to affect change in their community. Any institutional racism that might exist can be corrected through the flag. Because of the flag. Halleluiah!!

But wait, they are turning on the flag? Should those with polio protest penicillin? Curse Jonas Salk? This protest is misguided at least. Insulting to the vast majority of police of ALL colors at worst.

This is uncalled for, he should be forced to apologize to the police.

First of all, he Won't apologize. Second, it would be an empty gesture. Damage is done. Flames are fanned. Did Kaepernick apologize for the pig socks? Heck no. He is counted as hip and edgy for dehumanizing police. You don't have to respect dehumanized people. Heck, might as well kill them.

Did any of our moron Ram players apologize for the "hands up don't shoot" crap they pulled coming out of the tunnel? ALSO based on a lie?

I don't think so, they are pretty resolute, and rightfully so.

Les, with very few exceptions, the issue is black on black killing. I'll respect these guys a lot more when they go into the bowels of Chicago and D.C. with tears in their eyes and beg these guys to stop killing each other. But I guess there are too many MMA fights to attend, and the Michael Bennetts can't fit it into their schedule.

At the very, VERY least someone should let him know he owes the police an apology. Look up the stats. This narrative has NO MERIT.

Well that didn't take long and I am not pointing fingers at anyone. When I saw this thread I was going to have a very short leash on it. I am not going to voice an opinion either way here on ROD. Our long standing rule has always been one of no politics or religion. It is a difficult situation like this when sports and politics become intertwined but I'm still drawing a line on this one.
