Did anyone pay any attention to how moronic that was to say?

Keenan Allen gets the ball and looks to pass downfield, and the announcer says,” His brother was a quarterback”

His brother could be Jesus and it wouldn’t mean he could turn water into wine.

That might be the dumbest comment I have ever heard.

Zach Maynard I think is his half brother or something. He was not great but loved throwing to Keenan.

Nah. Jesus supposedly had four brothers and none could do what he could.
Couldn't turn water in to wine, but Jesus Shuttlesworth could shoot the eyes out of a basket though!!

Well that “announcer” was Dan Fouts
(Who i kinda respect for his candor)

I think this could be just a tad overblown here

I thought it was the other guy.

But overblown? Nah. It was ridiculous.

I am not a fan of Fouts in the booth. Loved him on the field though.

The follow up to this comment by Ian Eagle was pure gold ..

"Allen's brother was a QB...."

Allen pauses, stumbles around, and falls to the ground.

"and Allen wasn't"

Yes. That part I liked. Made the first comment sound even dumber.

Having a quarterback for a brother, (2 even!) sure helped Cooper Manning be the best insurance agent in southwest Louisiana

Growing up, many said he'd be the best of them. But he had spinal stenosis, so had to stop playing.

He's still worth $15 million, and likely won't develop CTE

I did notice it, thought it was random as hell. But they throw those tidbits out for a lot of players all the time.
