Chargers & sticky towel was just a fine of $ 20,000. Rule book did not specify it was totally Illegal .
-Took a month of ruling & would probably cost them draft picks as a result of cheating.

This was my first post here. Was trying to remember this. I really don’t understand
Why this was not that big of a deal & why it took so long to rule on ??

Can a player have sticky stuff on them ? How is this not
a problem . I remember the Raiders with Belintnkoff & Lester Hayes .

I was under the impression, that every since the " Belintnkoff/Raiders Days the use of the stuff was totally illegal!!

My thoughts exactly !!

I guess now it is illegal, but how it was not before seems crazy . The NFL can be a little sketchy at times.
