Hopefully all the GSOT are on there. They won't all get in this year, but they should be recognized.

Thanks B&G.

My guess is that Pace and Warner make it this time. Ike maybe next time and don't know with Holt.

Not this year. I didn't expect Holt, but I thought Ike would be on final 15. I was wrong there.
It won't be too much longer for them, they earned it.. Warner and Pace probably get in this year, Pace is arguably the best LT of all time and Warner is a legend in the postseason and has one of the greatest stories of all time in all sports. I can't see them not making it by next year at the latest.

My .02

Morten Andersen
I was shocked that he wasn't already in frankly.

Jerome Bettis
Love me some Jerome. But he shouldn't even be on the list.

Tim Brown
This is silly, he should be in.

Don Coryell
See above, how is he NOT in. If a fucking offensive system is NAMED after you you're in.

Terrell Davis
Shouldn't even be on the list

Tony Dungy
What??? Are they serious???

Kevin Greene
This one is really close, tough call.

Charles Haley
Also close and a tough call.

Marvin Harrison
With the Philly thing hanging over his head I don't konw if he ever gets in.

Jimmy Johnson
Close but he wasn't around long enough IMO.

John Lynch
Excellent player, but it's not the Hall of Really Good.

Orlando Pace
He'll get in..........but he was an underachiever.

**Bill Polian
Another tough one, I dont know.

Junior Seau
He will get in.

Will Shields
No.

*Mick Tingelhoff
Played 40 years ago and that should rule you out. If you aren't in by then it's a no.

Kurt Warner
Yup.

He wasn't even the best LT in the years he played.

Didn't think Ike or Holt would make it with Harrison and Brown still there. I knew Pace would get the nod and happy to see Warner in the final 15.

I did say arguably. Pace's best years at LT were probably the best in NFL history, he just wasn't very consistent and didn't play to the level he could all the time. But it's definitely arguable.

IMO, if Pace played in a WCO offense where the QB typically gets rid of the ball quickly and Walter Jones played in Martz's pass happy offense where the QB holds the ball longer, this wouldn't even be a question.

I agree he was an underachiever sometimes and I mentioned that in my comments about the 15 guys up for the vote.

There are WR's with bigger numbers but the one huge ass year and the SB catch might put him over the top.

Holt.........I don't think will ever make it in because there are too many guys with his same career production.

Agreed.
Martz worked his oline harder than any other coach I know.
How many olines do most of their work in 7 step drops. That GSOT line worked their tails off. They always joked about how nice it would be to run the ball.

Put Tim Brown in already.

Seau use to bug me. The guy would celebrate after every tackle. He'll get in though.

Warner, Pace named finalists for Pro Football Hall of Fame
• By Jim Thomas

http://www.stltoday.com/sports/foot...cle_f8eab4f4-af4e-5e06-8cb9-871e1a967df7.html

The Rams went two for four Thursday night as the Pro Football Hall of Fame trimmed its list of candidates from 26 semifinalists to 15 finalists.

Quarterback Kurt Warner and left tackle Orlando Pace were among the 15 finalists. But wide receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt were not.

Warner, Pace, and late San Diego linebacker Junior Seau were the only first-year eligible players to reach the finals.

The list of finalists includes: coach Don Coryell, who coached the St. Louis Cardinals from 1973-77; running back Jerome Bettis, who played on the inaugural St. Louis Rams squad in 1995; and linebacker/defensive end Kevin Greene, who played his high school ball in Granite and played for the Los Angeles Rams.

The rest of the field of 15: place-kicker Morten Andersen, wide receiver/kick returner Tim Brown, running back Terrell Davis, coach Tony Dungy, defensive end-linebacker Charles Haley, wide receiver Marvin Harrison, coach Jimmy Johnson, free safety John Lynch, and offensive guard Will Shields.

A maximum of five of the 15 modern-day finalists will be elected by the 46-member selection committee Jan. 31, the day before Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Ariz.

In addition, a senior finalist (center Mick Tingelhoff) and two contributor finalists (team executives Bill Polian and Ron Wolf) are up for election. The senior finalist was announced in August and the contributor finalists were announced in October.

So a maximum of eight inductees can be voted in on Jan. 31st: five modern-day players, one senior player, and the two contributors.

Didn't Pace average less than one holding call per year called on him over his career or some low amount like that? I thought I heard a while ago the amount of holding calls he had and it was really low

My list:

Don Coryell
Kurt Warner
Orlando Pace
Tim Brown
Junior Seau

That said, I think Shields gets in and Tim Brown gets aced...again. If Coryell gets aced again... there's no justice...

I'm a homer and everything, too, but c'mon man! Les, you are right on this one. Loved Pace, although he pissed me off yearly with the training camp drama. No way he is the best LT ever, just being real....
