Key has been that McVay is putting him in the "I" with Goff under center. Could not stand how much they ran him on those delays out of the shotgun last year.
Gurley needs to run downhill, not standing there and waiting for the shotgun snap to get to Goff. Then he has to turn and hand it to him. With last year's line, the D was in the backfield before he could even get a head of steam.
Reminded me of how Chip Kelky f'd up DeMarco Murray that year in Philly. Those type guys need to be running towards the line when they get the ball.
