The critics don’t like them. You can’t argue their merit as fine cinema. But you love them anyway.

Flash Gordon kicks ass. I'm not even sure it counts as bad!

"Movie 43" got some astoundingly bad reviews... an amazing 4% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's just a collection of skits, but I think there's a few original and funny ones in there, especially the "Home Schooling" skit with Liv Schrieber and Naomi Watts, the "Neck balls" skit with Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslett, and the "Blind date" skit with Steve Merchant and Halle Berry.

Gattaca... a smart sci-if thriller with an intriguing premise and good acting and solid reviews... maybe @FaulkSF saw some initial bad reviews, but it's up to 81% at rotten tomatoes, which is pretty high

Human space travel to an exoplanet is still a long long ways off, but DNA manipulation is just around the corner...
