That one white dot 25 yards up in the middle was the STRIKE to Higbee that was dropped... what a gorgeous throw that was

You guys are exactly right and I can't wait till Everett is completely healthy and starting over Higbee. His college tape was amazing, but to this point Higbee has been a huge womp for me. Below average hands and blocking. :/

Thanks for posting that chart. Dig the technical stuff for reference.

Just as the chart shows a variety of targets (area of the field, distance), Goff impressed me w/ his variety of throws. He drilled it when he needed and showed touch on other throws. That's what the best QBs do.

Amazing.

I don't know about that inaccurate pass to Gurley. I saw it more as a not wanting Gurley to get killed for no yardage gain.

Still cracks me the hell up that the ball getting knocked out of Higbee's hands is a drop in peoples minds. But I've been told big time players make that play yet every Pro Bowl WR and Hall of Fame WR has had it happen to them multiple times yet Higbee sucks for it.

Goff seems like a completely different QB from last year. Improvement was expected and I was hoping for a gradual improvement but this started from week 1. Of course McVay isn't Boras, Watkins and Woods aren't Britt and Quick. Gurley is Gurley again and that line seems to be getting better by the game. In fact Sullivan went down on the second play of the 3rd quarter and they didn't miss a beat. Four first half scoring drives and other than the first one, the 1 play 5 yard TD run, they totaled 181 yards of offense on 24 plays (7.5 ypp). Three second half scoring drives totaled 216 yards of offense on 27 plays (8.0 ypp). So far, so good but the real tests start next Sunday in Dallas, then the following week vs Seattle. Good showings expected?

I think it is more of a case that it is grouped in with his other drops. if that's Watkins on that play, and he doesnt come up with it, he does get a pass, but Higbee has just been inconsistent when it comes to finishing off a catch way too many times.

So Higbee will take on more criticism for that play than an established player would.

Which pardon my french but that's horse shit. A good play by a defender is a good play doesn't matter who the receiver is.
