Goff's got his work cut out for him, but nowhere to go but up.

Not really.

1. It illustrates why they had to do something drastic.
2. Improving on those numbers is not a hard obstacle to clear
3. The Rams were 7-9 WITH those kinds of numbers, so a modest improvement could mean quite a few more wins
4. Gotta know where you've been before you know where you're going.

Yes they have to improve and I guess when your dead last you can only improve or maintain but I will let the coaches and players take care of that. I just want to forget how incredibly awful this offense was

.

So, so many plays left on the field. A recurring nightmare for 3 years.

Yeah. I mean, really stop and think about that a moment. It's amazing they won 7 games and played as competitively as they did with that offense. Imagine what will happen if they can finish in the 20-15 rank range in scoring. It would have to include playoffs.

Oh and btw should have received my blue 'n yellow Goff jersey today but FEDEX sucks. Thanks for nothing.

And before someone asks what the hurry is... Because I can't wait to wear the MFing jersey of a real QB to the bar that's why!

Lets not forget 3rd down conversion percentage at 26% (32nd)
IMO that's a stat tied strongly to your QB and passing game. I think this is where Goff can really help this offense right away. 3rd and longs are a challenging down for even the best QB's but when you're trotting out backups it's pretty easy to see why the Rams struggled mightily there.

Goff does have his work cut out for him, but everybody else does on that side of the ball as well, and I am including the coaches. As well as Goff's performance, we are going to have to see some serious rookie QB whispering, the o line coming completely together, and the tight ends and receivers doing their jobs as well.

If the o was that bad and they needed to do something drastic. A proven QB coach and coordinator could have been added as well, in my opinion. This offense needed a makeover, and Goff is just a part of that.

Indeed. Last year was brutal. That Pittsburgh game was a microcosm of the 2015 Rams. I feel like I say it every year. Give this D 24ppg on offense and watch out.

Unbelievably bad passing game numbers.

I hope the Rams throw a little more on first down and mix things up. Run, penalty, run and 3rd and long. I know it's going to be heavy doses of the great Todd Gurley but, even he needs help with play calling.

What I find simply astonishing is that as bad as those numbers are, they contained 2 games by Foles where he totaled 460 yards, 4 TD and a passer rating of 120ish
It truly takes some bad play to bring that down

And our O-Line, in what could be considered a " Rookie Campaign", Only allowed 18 Sacks! I call that part -X-LNT!:shades::cheers:
