St. Louis Rams: Martellus Bennett for $5.2 million guaranteed or even Dustin Keller for $3.25 million were much better deals than the Rams giving Jared Cook $19 million guaranteed. Offensive tackle Jake Long is the ultimate boom-or-bust signing. It could be fantastic or a waste of money. Don't overlook that some talent left an already shaky offense (Steven Jackson, Danny Amendola, Brandon Gibson).

Winners maybe I assume. If Long can deliver, we will be good.

This is bunk! Yes Cook got a sizeable guaranteed deal however offers numerous more intangibles than said Bennett and Keller combined. I think we struck (Rams) gold w/ Fisher and Snead snagging a multi dimensional "tight end" in Cook that Eifert or Ertz don't offer either.

Besides Cook is heading into his prime w/ a real qb in Bradford only going into his 4th season. Now w/ Cook and Kendricks we have options galore!

some people talk just to hear themselves. he made no commitment to his choice both his opinions were 50/50 if you dont wanna commit dont write the story

Martellus Bennett is a notorious underachiever and slightly overrated. He's now been w/ 3 different teams...suddenly a journeyman.

Dustin Keller is coming off injury. He's slightly older and doesn't really give anything Lance Kendrick's doesn't.

Whether Jared Cook produces at a high level depends on a number of factors, but he's younger, can double as a WR and is really fast.
