overthecap.com is a very cool site.
If you go to the Calculate the Cap link on the site and click on the Rams it will show the current cap number and let your restructure or cut, tag or extend players to give an idea of cap impacts.
For example, cutting Finnigan and Dahl along with Langford and tagging Saffold and extending Smith and Clemons for a year left me with under $10,000 in cap space.
The have all the Oline man in together as far as tagging them. If this is true and franchising Saffold means he gets $9.9M that of course wont happen. If they do allow a different rate for Gs who knows.
Anyway, sort of fun to go tinker on there and start to get a headache thinking about how the Rams can retain or add anyone this offseason with out major overhauls to several contracts.
