First playoff game effectively sold out

I'd bet that 20-30% of NFL tickets are sold to brokers.

Probably far more in certain markets and for certain games.

I think the problem really is that as long as the NFL can sell tickets and as long as looking the other way on scalpers (let’s call a duck a duck) means that tickets sell for more than face and create a fake high demand status, the NFL won’t do a damn thing.

I’m not one to point at the NFL and complain that they are greedy mofos. It’s when they try to claim they care about something besides money and their actions demonstrate otherwise.

I haven’t really seen where they claim to care about this issue. Have they?

I've never seen or heard anything from the NFL about this, or any other sport really.

A few musicians and comedians have had some choice words and made attempts to limit it that I know of.

As far as more in certain markets and certain games you can bet on that. Schedules come out before tickets go on sale and I'm sure dates get circled.

Honestly though I hope you and your wife have a hell of a great time and the flights, game, and post game is amazing and the best of times for you both! Hopefully some dumb shits don't ruin it but from the 4 times I've been there people are pretty cool inside and outside the stadium.

p.s. looked up Derby and you guys are in the smack middle of merry ol' England! You root for Manchester? Liverpool?

I root for Derby! We are the Rams. That's the entire reason I chose the LA Rams back in 1984. Look at my avatar.

We have a long and proud history and won what is now the Premier League (then just called the 1st Division) twice in the 70's, the second time beating out Liverpool.

We tend to bounce between the Premier League and the Championship. At the moment we are 3rd in the Championship looking to get back there next season.

Derby is a real football town. Only small at 250,000, but we regular rank in the top 3 for attendances. beating out much bigger cities.

My bad man, from someone across the pond that doesn't know or appreciate anything but the band wagon teams across the pond! The girl I dated years ago graduated from John Moores so seen a Liverpool match, it was pretty amazing. You damned Brits get crazy with your football! lol Felt like I was in bad parts of LA wearing the wrong colors. lol

I like the Rams team and reference and get your avatar now! It's pretty fucking awesome, I need to get more schooled on the leagues and how they work so I have a clue when and what happens etc. Kinda like the different divisions in NFL and the two conferences have playoffs and end in a SB for instance.

Heading back to the UK next year for a tour of Europe with the end cap being Germany and Octoberfest.. I'll see if I can manage to stop at Derby and have a pint matey!
