They are so wasting their time.

Not that they're going to get into the playoffs... but, if they do and they keep fending off the suspension, he'll be out if they do make the playoffs.

Typical DAL foolishness.

I think they make the playoffs

I'm glad we have zero crime or any other issues going on now, so it's totally cool that our court system is getting tied up and our tax dollars spent over a fucking football player.

Seriously, why the fuck do we need our court system tied up in player suspensions? This shit needs to be handled in house.

Well, that didn’t take long. A three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit quickly denied Ezekiel Elliott‘s motion for an injunction blocking his suspension, Daniel Wallach first reported.

Elliott’s on-again, off-again suspension is on again. He will not play Sunday against the Falcons.

An appellate court will hear his case on an expedited basis, and Elliott will remain suspended until then.

The Cowboys star running back attended the Thursday hearing in New York, which began at 2 p.m. ET, with hopes of a favorable ruling that would have him back at practice Friday and in the starting lineup again this week.

The NFL suspended him for six games Aug. 11, but court rulings kept Elliott on the field for the first half of the season. He received an administrative stay Friday that allowed him to play against the Chiefs on Sunday. But Elliott appears out of time to play this week.

Elliott has 783 rushing yards and seven touchdowns this season. Without him, the Cowboys will resort to a running back by committee with Alfred Morris, Rod Smith and Darren McFadden.

This is worse than Favre's on again off again retirement. How many days till his suspension is off again?

He could have served his suspension already and the distractions that come along with it would be gone.

Jerry and Goodell are continuing to make the NFL look bad as a whole with this back and forth dispute. Just take the suspension so Zeke won't potentially miss playoff time

Well played Cowboys now he won't be active for the playoff push after you struggled to keep your head above water to get to this point.

He could have served the 1st 6 weeks and would still miss the playoffs.

We all know Cowboys fans--they'll rely on Zeke's absence as an excuse, but this is a perfect example of why many gms and coaches (McVay included) place a high value on assembling teams with high-character guys.

The real question is if this case will eventually escalate to the Supreme Court

Next Ezekiel Elliott hearing set for December 1
Posted by Mike Florio on November 9, 201

The next question when it comes to the Ezekiel Elliott suspension relates to the timing of the hearing on the actual appeal of the denial of Elliott’s motion for preliminary injunction. With Thursday’s ruling simply denying injunctive relief while the appeal goes forward, the appeal will come to a head three weeks from Friday.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Elliott’s appeal regarding the denial of a preliminary injunction has been set for December 1.

It means that, barring some sort of legal miracle between now and then, he’ll miss at least four games: Sunday at Atlanta, the following Sunday against the Eagles, Thanksgiving vs. the Chargers, and the ensuing Thursday, November 30, against the Redskins.

The next question becomes whether a ruling in Elliott’s favor would come before Sunday, December 10, when the Cowboys face the Giants. On December 17, the play the Raiders in Oakland.

If he misses six games, Elliott will return for Week 16 against the Seahawks. The Cowboys finish the regular season against the Eagles, in Philadelphia.
