Team plays like garbage then he throws a new player into the mix mid season. They squeak out a couple more wins because teams haven't adjusted to the new player. It's happened every year, take a look...

Every one of those players mentioned sans Goff had a terrible following year. Fisher is no dummy and he know that if Goff comes in and plays decent and they up 7 and 9 or 8 and 8 he'll get extended. Mark my words he's just playing him for the job security.
