It is just Radio, Key is pretty well respected I have heard NFL guests on that show say Key is very smart understands the game and could be a coach. Don't buy in radio is B.S and nobody knows where the Goff wagon will end up including Key and us at the ROD. I just laugh it off. Key has ticked me off with his Barkley B.S more than once.
Everytime I've listened to him, I've been quite turned off by his view.
I find him annoying

Here we are one year later from the 2016 Draft and the Verdict is in....

At approximately the 22:00 minute mark
they discuss that they have seen enough and Jared Goff can't play.

(he's a bust/wasted pick from their eyeball test)

They say (Air Raid system trumps all) regardless of coaching staff etc..

I value Meshawn's opinion as much as I value Trent Dilfer's.
I wish I could give you high fives until our arms fell off. Two of the biggest turds to ever play football and think they are the smartest guys in the room! What the hell espn saw in these two guys to employ them is beyond me. They really put the "anal" in analyst.

Ireland is such a shit bag. Not just because he doesn't like Goff but Ireland has a big pile of shit between his ears.

I remember when Keyshawn was still on the Panthers and worked as an analyst for the draft the year Dwayne Jarrett got drafted. I remember him going on and on about how excited he was after the Panthers picked Jarrett and that he couldnt wait to mentor him. Next day, Panthers cut him...

Here in LA Marcellus Wiley and Rodney Harrison are paired up in the morning for a couple of hours on ESPN 710am. Both narcasistic and border line racists IMHO. Don't know why I listen to them because I'm yelling at the radiio every 5 minutes from one of their absurd comments. Harrison has the nerve to talk about dirty players. He was the top "cheap shot" artist when he played.

talking about bad radio people in this thread, these guys need to be included.

I would rather watch Dilfer talk about his lawn care than stomach 2 syllables of johnson. He was a self absorbed and pretentious ass in college, and an even bigger jerk as a pro, and I use the term lightly.

I will tweet him questions about goff at the end of the year until he concedes his mistake. I'm guessing that will take awhile even when it will be obvious that goff is a baller.

I love my Rams....but the kid looked scared.:headexplosion: Just calling it like I see it. And I don't know if you can fix scared...I saw Brady...I saw Peyton...Hell, I saw Luck/Winston/Marriota....I never got that they look scared...On the other hand, Eli has that scared look and turned out ok. Cam looks a lil scared to me also.
Something about the way he was standing in the pocket...after the NO game...The way the team played around him...The way the receivers ran the routes...

Hopefully some protection more competent game planning and the development of existing weapons with the addition of new weapons will rectify this. As a realist I agree his potential remains to be defined but I am optimistic that he is an improvement over the past several seasons and hopefully the answer. We will see.

I saw and still see Bradford look scared. I didn't see that with Goff. I thought Goff looked determined in the face of an utterly frustrating situation - much like what I saw from Gurley. Time will tell but I like Goff's situation now and expect him to stuff his stats in KJ's pie hole.

Goff a bust?
1) In college he improved noticeably each year.
2) He was regularly pounded especially in his freshman and sophmore years yet took those lickings and kept on ticking. (i.e. improved regardless)
3) He can make all the throws including the ones that require touch (the latter being IMO being extremely important). He is not merely possessed of a cannon with distance and velocity.

4) He is humble and very coachable.
5) Given a competent O-line and improved receivers he'll have a chance to shine. After today, and tomorrow Goff will have some new teammates and a new offense to run. Let's not rush to judgement just yet.

Summary: No one has a crystal ball including Key. I like Jared's chances - he improved every year in college in spite of considerable adversity, and I have no reason to doubt he will continue to do so in his sophomore year in the NFL. Apparently the Rams new coaching staff view him in similar fashion.

Jared a bust? Way too soon to render judgement on that subject.

The whole Goff debate is boring and pointless. He had a horrid rookie year. He will get every opportunity to have a better second year. It's way to early to throw the kid overboard. It takes time sometimes.

I hope Goff is not a bust. Rams need him to be a superior QB given what they gave up to get him first overall. He didn't look good last year and neither did the offense. I get a bad feeling that the Rams are repeating with Goff what they did with Bradford.
