I would have had it in color up until the hit then go black and white... and the "Wasted" seems to come up a second or two too soon.

But still awesome.

I was actually trying to do that, I couldn't figure out the color settings on proceeding layers in Photoshop.

You can do it in a video editor. Splice the clip and turn the second half into black and white, then save the whole thing as a gif with the text layer staying in color.

I like it the way it is too though. Nice job.

I am obsessed with this hit. There's so many great things about it. 1) It was clean. 2) Perfectly timed 3) WR had no idea what happened 4) It shook the Broncos team. 5) If you listen closely, can hear his brains move. 6) And the ref threw his had on the WR like "get this roadkill bum out of here."

Its one of the hardest hits you'll ever see.

Lolz at "pushing him out of bounds". Can you say broken arm/dislocated shoulder,wrist,collerbone/etc?? That hit was TEXTBOOK. Football is a contact sport played by men.....or at least it was.

hey tweed. i bought the robert johnson collection back in the 90s. he was alright.

.

Cool!!

Yeah, Johnson's influence has been huge.

Check out Big Bill Broonzy and Mississippi John Hurt, oh and Jimmy Rodgers. All basically that delta influence but a bit of a folky twist. Rodgers actually bridges blues and country, I think he's pre hank sr.

If I remember correctly the refs did say it was a penalty because primary contact was "to the head" (which if they could watch the replays on it, it most definitely not either to Sander's head or from McLeod's head).

Clean play and the refs would have known that if they could see in slo mo.

Now that everyone has had their say in this thread and it has fallen to page 2, I just want to add something. Remember how I talked about not liking his tackling because he never wraps up and only uses his shoulder? That would not have been a penalty had he used proper form. Yes I know it shouldn't have been called anyway but that's immaterial to my point.

Just saying.

Would you still be liking that clip @Mojo Ram if the WR was Britt or Quick? I want to beat the other team when both of us are at our best. I like big hits but only when everyone gets up and walks off the field in good shape.

Although I'm OK if they're a little apprehensive about going over the middle the next time.

I'll take the 15 yard penalty. Teach those WR's that they'll get blasted, and they will run their routes scared.

If he had slowed to wrap him up it would have given Sanders just enough time to catch the ball. He had to explode through him or Sanders makes a huge catch and maybe the whole outlook of the game is changed.

Besides, like you said, it shouldn't have been a penalty anyways. So it shouldn't matter if he wrapped him up or not. In this instance it's okay. Now if your point is to learn when to wrap up and when to throw a shoulder then I agree. He needs to better learn when he should be textbook and when he should be going for the highlight reel, with textbook being the case 98% of the time. However I can't agree if you're saying that he shouldn't have done it at all. If he doesn't he gives away a huge catch and tons of momentum.

I've been at the other end of that clip many times as a Rams fan. It's football. It was not a dirty hit IMO, and Sanders walked off the field with a concussion.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be the fan that cries dirty hit just because it negatively affects my team. Besides, it's football. These guys know things like this are wont to happen and have accepted it in the cause to play the best football they can. I know for a fact the Rams wouldn't want people to take it easy on them just so they wouldn't get hurt and I wouldn't want them to.

It sucks that Sanders got injured, he's a good guy, solid player, wish he was a Ram to be honest, but that's just how the cookie crumbled. McLeod did what he had to, I'm sure Sanders respects that and Quick/Britt would respect it if that happened to them. Of course I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't act like it was something evil that needed to be dealt with immediately either. Because it's not, it was just a hard, legal football play.
