The 1940-41 Chicago Bears might hold the record at 88. They won the 1940 championship 73-0, then scored the first 15 points of their first game of the 1941 season.

If this is true, Rams now hold most consecutive unanswered points in a season and could take the "ever" title with a first TD or a pair of unanswered FGs.

Funny how the 1940s and Chicago link to all this. It was the Chicago Cardinals and Chicago Bears that we had our last back to back shoutouts against in 1945.

Well, in the old days there were TONS of shutouts.

In the modern era it appears the 1970 Cards and 1976 Steelers had 3 consecutive shutouts. The points from the Cards is 113 but I have to check the previous and following game, so, no, Rams still have their work cut out for them.
