Does the NFL really care about performance enhancing drugs?

I was against its use for race horses--it was inhumane and lead to unfair advantages unless every horse took them. It's proven that horses that used them had shorter lifespans, some significantly so.

My perspective also, oddly enough, applies to human beings.
