I'd like to grab one in the 6th or 7th round to compete with them all.

Stacy is our starter buts gets banged up with so many carries
Cunningham has done good in his limited time
I have no idea why Pead is still around, and don't understand people who think he still has a shot. He has talent, but hasn't put it to use, maybe a new environment would do him good.
Richardson has been decent, especially last year. Seems he was injured most of this year. Still like him as a change of pace back. Though it seems he can only run outside, so if we aren't in a split back formation, it would be a dead giveaway where he running to. And if he did run inside, well, lucky them.

SO yes, a late round flyer on a RB is what i am hoping for.

It will be interesting and there are some good ones in this draft. We carried 4 this yr on the roster, but I can see the main guy behind Stacy as being able to upgrade.

easy to see why

-He's been on the active roster and the coaching staff has put him in certain spots; he was used a lot this year out of the back field in the red zone. He also had a 2 pt conversion. You may not think it's a big deal but I think it's huge you put him in on a must have play ; that shows confidence in him from the coaching staff.

-Brings more to the table than Drich, whom couldn't even get on the active roster down the stretch.

Maybe they brought Pead in because no one in the entire world saw it coming lol. He has been on the team 2 years now, was a 2nd round pick, and has produced less than a 2nd year 7th rounder, a rookie 5th rounder, and a rookie UDFA. Certainly it seems we could find another late rounder to take his spot and produce more. Pead is a bust IMO, a big one, and doesn't produce nearly enough to warrant anything besides being cut.

Draft round is irrelevant at this point.

They've used pead a fair amount out of the back field - especially in the red zone.. He's been thrown at near the goal line but they weren't the best of throws..except for the 2 pt conversion of course

And I understand why they use him out of the back field - he's our only legitimate 3rd down back. Best hands, best in pass pro, pretty good route runner. There isn't another back on this roster with that combo.

For a #4 RB, i guess he isn't that bad. Still think he could be upgraded pretty easily. just my opinion, i understand yours, but still don't like him.

Would love to have Carlos Hyde, but don't really want to use a 2nd/3rd round pick on a RB. Late round prospects i like are Isaiah Crowell, Keny Hilliard, James White, Glasco Martin, James Wilder. There are a few others also.

Just re-watched his 2011 highlights with Cincy. Granted this is a highlight vid and doesn't show any bonehead plays, fumbles, mental errors etc. but you can definitely see the talent. I'd have to agree that his skill set makes him the most complete back on the roster.

That said, he's been held back from reaching his potential thus far by his head. Got to think since he's still on the roster that the coaches have been giving him the time needed to get his head on straight while very slowly increasing his PT on special teams and occasional appearances in the backfield.

Count me among those that believe he still has a chance to succeed in the NFL. It's been a long time coming but by now he should realize that he has to work for anything he achieves at this level.

If he's still on the roster come opening day next season then I fully expect to see him in games more often than we have this year. He may never be a starting HB but I think can be a damn good 3rd down specialist for us or even split time with or spell Stacy. Worth a 2nd round pick? Who cares anymore. He's here, let's find out if we can count on him or cut ties.

I would like to see a RB drafted in the later rounds, we seem to do better in the later rounds at the RB position anyway. wouldn't mind a little competition for that #3 and #4 spot.

D.Rich is #4... even when off the injury report, d.rich was the inactive one for most of the 2nd half of the season. came off the injury report week 12 i believe, stayed inactive

close enough. We could do much better at the #3 rb position though. I think so at least.

I disagree - he's the only "3rd down" back on this roster. If you remember the preseason when everyone was watching each back to see who'd start, I was really surprised pead didn't considering how bad d.rich was. Pead was the best in pass pro and blitz pick up, best hands.. every other rb has an issue with dropsies.

I don't see an upgrade - Pead to me is similar to quick. Flashes talent, but Gotta get his head right

I see an upgrade needed. Quick at least produces and has gotten better. Keep Pead, Lose DRich, don't matter, still want another late rounder to compete with Pead at the least.

Nah, cause never know, could cut him and pick someone up in the draft who was worse, then we'd just be going backwards lol.

Pead has the talent, the problem is between his ears. I wouldn't be shocked to see him go, or stay.
