I have a few good ones today ( our 60th day! only 39 to go until the start of the Regular Season!!)
Starting with CB/S - Kermit Alexander: (1970-71)

1971 Kermit Alexander.jpg
He was pretty washed-up by the time he came here from the 49ers, 1 Int each year he was here!
Kermit_Alexander.jpg

Next Man up, RB - Rod Phillips; (1975-78)

rod_phillips_1978_12_11.jpg

No one would ever confuse him with 'Lawrence Phillips' but he was OK.

Next, a pretty well rounded RB. RB - Robert Delpino: (1988-92)

Delpino4.jpg
In his 5 seasons Robert's rushing record was 371 for 1370 with 10 TD's and his average was 3.7

Delpino5.jpg
His Total, Receiving, thru 1992 was 152 for 1574 yards and 9 TD's and average of 10.4 a pop.

Delpino8.jpg

He was working with a pretty good passer too! (Everett)
Delpino9.jpg

He also played in 4 play-off games.

This Bring us to the "Man of the Day!" RB - Steven Jackson: (2004-2012)

Steven-Jackson1.png

He played 9 seasons for us, his miss-fortune was it was mostly in the 'Dark Years!'

Jackson3.jpg

Steven Rushed 2396 times for 10138 yards, 56 TD's and an aver. of 4.2 Yds. per! Imagine what he could have done on a better Team!

Jackson4.jpg
" Who need's a Stinkin' Helmet!"

jackson5.jpg
Jackson also Had 407 Catches for 3324 Yds. and 8 TD's. an aver. of 8.2.

jackson7.jpg
He did get to play in 2 Play-off games here. He had 19 rushes for 68 yards.

Jackson8.jpg
He made the Pro-Bowl 3 times with the Rams.

Jackson-Jabari-Greer6.jpg
And, before I forget to mention it, He did throw 1 TD pass for 2 Yds.!

Steven-Jackson2.jpg

NOT A BAD RECORD CONSIDERING HE PLAYED FOR A TEAM DURING IT'S " DARK YEARS!!"

That's all for me Lady's and Gent's! What do you have? Photos, gifs, comments!

GO RAM!!

Steven Jackson is the reason why we even won those games from 2007 - 2009. He deserved to be on a better team and completely understand why he left for Atlanta. To me, he will be remembered as one of the Ram greats.
Here is a tribute video for SJ39.

I just have to give you a more complete version of the stats on these players!!
To begin with, I was mistaken, I misread Kermit's stats! So here are his corrected stats!
* CB/S - Kermit Alexander-1970-1971
1971 Kermit Alexander.jpg

In his 28 games as a Ram Alexander had 7 Int's (Not 1 as I previously stated!) for 169 Yds. and 2 TD's w/ a long of 82 Yds. he also had 1 Fumble / 2 FR's and as a n he had 8 PR's for 43 Yds. w/ a long of 49 Yds. an a 5.4 aver. he also had 7 KR's for 126 Yds. w/ a long of 30 Yds. / a 18.0 aver.

* RB - Rod Phillips - 1975-1978
rod_phillips_1978.jpg

In his 4 seasons with the Team he played in 57 games and had 116 Rushes for 539 Yds. and 2 TD's w/ a long of 33 Yds. / a 4.6 aver. he also had 14 Rec's for 86 Yds. / a 6.1 aver. w/ a long of 16 Yds. and 2 Fumbles. In the Playoff's he totaled 6 rushes for 21 Yds. / a 3.5 aver. and 2 Rec's for "Zero" Yds. w/ a long of 6 Yds.

* RB - Robert Delpino - 1988-1992
Delpino4.jpg
( Just to put his stats all together!)
In his 5 d 72 Games played he had 371 Rushes for 1370 Yds. 10 TD's / a 3.7 aver. w/ a long of 19 Yds. " And he had 2 Seasons were he finished in the Top 10 in Rushing TD's in the League!" He also had 152 Rec's for 1574 Yds. and 9 TD.s / a 10.4 aver. / with a long of 25 Yds. he also had 9 Fumbles and 4 FR's.
In his 4 Post Season games he had 4 rushes for 7 Yds. and 5 Rec's for 64 Yds. / a 12.8 aver. And you can add in 10 KR's for 190 Yds. w / a long of 46 Yds.

Just to top-off his Stats:
* RB - Steven Jackson - 2004-2012
Steven-Jackson2.jpg

In his 131 Games his Longest rush was for 59 Yds. and his Longest Rec. was for 64 Yds.!
But he also had 4 KR's for 79 Yds. w/a long of 23 Yds. / a 19.8 aver. / 23 Fumbles! / 10 FR's for minus 9 Yds. and 9 tackles.
He did play in 2 Playoff games in 2004 and he had 19 rushes for 68 Yd of 15 Yds./ a 3.6 aver. and 3 Rec's for 1 Yard w/ a long of 8 Yds.

Lastly, because we didn't have many photos of him before:
* RB - Malcomb Brown 2015- Present
c9d5ee47689f7128810f6a706700ee70.jpg

Malcomb Brown1.png

OK! He's only played in 1 game for the Rams, BUT ..
Malcomb Brown2.jpg
Give the Kid a chance ..
Malcomb Brown3.jpg
He's had 4 rushes for 17 Yds. w/ a long of 13 Yds and a 4.3 aver.
Malconb Brown4.jpg

Ok, he also had 1 Rec. for minus 2 Yards.

Anyone have any more video's or memories they l share!!?!

I don't have the video for that catch, but I remember it. He caught a pass with one hand, broke a tackle, then ran past All Pro safety Sean Taylor like he was a fence post.

Among other things, SJ was the only Ram to rush for 150 yards and add 100 receiving yards in the same game. He's also the only RB in NFL history, other than LaDainian Tomlinson to rush for 1500 yards and catch 90 passes in the same season.

Jackson is still my favorite player to play for the Rams. It's a shame that he played on some of the worst teams we've had.

It's all about that Malcolm Brown now...

Was this the same Kermit Alexander that went to UCLA?

Yes....Rafer is famous....My sis went and graduated from UCLA too...I once went to UCLA summer camp, and had the great Billy Don Jackson working with a group of kids. Must have been in 1976 or 77...You know the guy...Big story of how he read on the 3rd grade level....It fooled me into believing you didn't need the books....:oops::confused:...anyhoo, they let us shoot BB guns, swim, and run....Only a few wanted to play football everyday like me...think Gaston Green was out there...

Malcolm Brown has switched to 34, and I notice there is currently no #39 on the roster. Is it possible the Rams are steering guys away from the number in anticipation of retiring Steven Jacksons #39?

I've posted this before but Del Pino was one of my favorite Rams.
Got to play in a charity basketball game against a team that head Del Pino and FB Buford McGee on it.
Cool guy, lot of fun.
