Today we will start with the Best 'Back-up' (later starting) QB we ever had! At #25 QB - Norn Van Brocklin: (1949-57)
{ He switched to #11 after he began starting in 1952}

NVB2.jpg
NVB4.jpg

He Played for us 9 seasons, And No he was not the starting QB on the 1951 Championship team. although he did start one game in the playoff's that year!

VanBrocklin1.jpg
He racked-up some great stats with us!
NVB3.jpg

He had a record of 42 Wins-20Loses-3Ties and he completed 1011 of 1897 passes for 16114 Yds./118 TD's/w/127 Int's.

NVB5.jpg

He played in 6 Playoff games his record is 1 win/2 Loses in them. He was 35 of 75 for 532 Yds. and #TD's in them. with 7 Int's.
NVB Wade.jpg

He and Wade were 'Gun Lover's' too.

He also rushed for 8 TD's! and as a Punter for us he had a Record of 167 for 7073 Yds. w/a long of 70 Yds. and only had 2 Blocked!
NVB6.jpg

Here's 3 of our top 5 QB's, IF not the Top 3!!

"And I'm just getting started, today, FOLKS!"

Next up Safety Don Burroughs: (1955-59)

Don_Burroughs1.jpg
I wanted to include him because of his time with the team!

In 5 seasons he had 21 Int's for 236 Yards.

Next up, a player you'll remember, one way or another{you'll see what I mean in a second!} WR/RB Bernie Casey: (1967-68)
He came over from the 49ers!

Casey1.jpg

He had 82 receptions for 1436 Yards and 13 TD's a 17.5 aver.! NOT too shabby for a former 9er!
Casey2.jpg

He also played in 1 playoff game and had 5 rec. for 82 Yds. and 1 TD, an aver. of 16.4!

IF you don't remember him yet, Maybe you remember him from his acting career ..

Here's just a few more stats and Bio. on the players you've seen so far!
* QB - Norm Van Brocklin - 1949-1957
NV3.jpg
He was a 4th Round pick by the Rams in 1949. and he went into the Hall of Fame in 1971.
In his 104 games w/ 65 Starts his Passing comp. rate was 53.3% and his longest pass went for 84 Yds. / His QB rating, in the regular season was 74.7/ he Rushed 72 times for 35 Yds. w/ a long of 16 Yds. / he had 31 Fumbles and 9 FR's.
In his 6 games in the Playoff's w/ the Rams, his Pass comp. was 49.3% / his longest pass was for 73 Yds. and his QB Rating was 41.2!
( Remember, this stats are in addition to his stats mentioned above.)

Next:
* Safety - Don Burroughs - 1955-1959
Don_Burroughs1.jpg
In his 5 seasons and 58 games his longest Int was for 46 Yds. and he had 1 Fumble/ 7 FR's and 2 PR's for a total of 11 Yds./ in his 1 Post Season game he had 1 Int. for 24 Yards.

" I have to Chuckle, he spent his 6 Seasons before the Rams w/ The 49ers, and NEVER went to the post season. He had to come to the Rams to make it!!"

Next:
* Robert Holcomb - 1998-2001

NEXT:
* CB - Jerry Gray - 1985-1991
Gray2x.jpg
He was a 1st Round Pick # 21 overall. not too much to add in addition to what has already been stated, His longest Int. in regular season was for 59 Yds./ in post season he totaled 1 Int. for 10 Yds. and 3 FR's.

Lastly:
* FS - T.J. McDonald - 2013-Present

One of the underplayed stories of this years camp with the Rams is the presence of 23 year-old twin brothers Nate and Nick Holley. While Running Back Nick (#25) seems to be fighting an uphill battle to make this roster with Gurley, Brown, Kelly and Davis seemingly well ahead on the depth chart, he has a couple more games to make an impact.

Nick has some moves. He won't make the roster, but love his effort:
