This one is full of well known names. Some good, some, past their prime!
I'll start with, at #10, Punter Dave Chapple: (1972-74)

Dave_Chapple2.jpg

chapple1.jpg
He was a Pro Bowler in 1972! He had 133 Punts for 5451 Yds. a long of 70 Yds. w/ an aver. of 41.0 ( Like the Uni!)

NEXT UP Kicker Tom Dempsey: (1975-76)

Dempsey3.jpg

He was better with other Teams!
Dempsey1.jpg

He Kicked 67 XP's and 38 FG's for 181 Points.
TomDempsey3.jpg
But what made him real Special was the fact that he over-came the Handy-cap of having a 'Club-Foot' to have a pretty good NFL Career!
tom_dempsey2.jpg

He was a crowd pleaser!

NEXT UP, QB Dan Pastorini: (1981)

Pastorini1.jpg
In 7 games he had 5 starts, and a record of 1-5-0.
He went 64 of 152 for 719 Yds. and 2 TD's w/ 14 Int's a 42.1 comp %! his long was 46 Yds. and he was Sacked 14 times
Pastorini2.jpg
He was definitely past his Prime when he came here from the Houston Oiler's!
( I well admit, back in this time, I wore wore a Hat like this! Everyone did!!)

NEXT UP, QB Steve Bartkowski: (1986)

steve_bartkowski1.jpg

In 6 games he had 6 starts and a record of 4-2-0
Bartkowski2.jpg

He went 61 of 126 for 654 Yds. and 2 TD's w/ 3 Int's a 48.4 com %

Bartkowski3.jpg

He was sacked 11 Times.
Bartkowski4.jpg

His better Days were with the Atlanta Falcons back-in-the-Day!

NEXT UP, Kicker Tony Zendejas: (1991-94)

zendejas1.jpg

He was very well-liked By his Team-mates!
(BUT, He kept getting in trouble w/the Law)
Zendejas2.jpg
Zendejas3.jpg

He made 66 of 83 FG's (79.5%) and 114 of 117 XP's (97.4%)
Zendejas4.jpg

He was alright.

NEXT UP, Someone, I think, we all remember Fondly! QB Trent Green: (1999*. 2000 & 2008)

trent-green1.jpg
WHO CAN FORGET THESE IMAGES!!?....

Green4.jpg
..OR How we felt at the Time!! (* He never started for us in 1999)

Green5.png
But when all is said and done, he only had 11 games with us in two trips (2000 & 2008) a record of 2-4-0

Green3.jpg
He went 183 of 312 for 2588 Yds. and 16 TD's w/ 11 Int's a 58.7 comp % w/ a long of 64 Yds.

Green2.jpg
He rushed 23 times for 73 Yds. and 1 TD an aver. of 3.2 w/ a long of 18 Yds.

trent_green3.jpg

He was Sacked 30 times, not good in 6 starts!
green6.jpg

We will always wonder how things would have gone, had he not gotten injured in 1999!!

I have two more for you, BUT I have to break for something, Comment If you wish!!

GO RAMS!!

I always felt Green could have been pretty solid for us at quarterback. Too, bad some no-name took his job. Although, Green played very well in Kansas City.

OK My final two for the Day. QB MARC BULGER: ( 2002-09)

bulger1.jpg
The last Rams QB to get us to the Playoffs!!

Bulger2.jpg
And he's a 2 time Pro-Bowler!

Bulger3.jpg

In 8 seasons in 96 games he had 95 starts, w/ a record of 41-54-0
Bulger4.jpg

" Not to mention 254 Sacks!!"
Bulger5.jpg
He was 1969 of 3171 passing for 22,814 Yds. and 122 TD's w/ 93 Int's a comp % of 62.1 w/ a long of 80 Yds.

Bulger6.jpg
In 3 playoff games he had a record of 1-2

Bulger8.jpg

In them he went 68 of 113 for 944 Yards and 4 TD's w/ 5 Int's and a comp % of 60.2 ....
Bulger9.jpg
...And he was Sacked 11 times!

Bulger10.jpg
I personally think his accomplishments have been over-looked because he followed Warner!

Bulger11.jpg

But he was part of the GSOT Days!

Last of the day, QB Kellen Clemens: (2011-13)

Clemens1.jpg
In his 3 seasons I'd call him ' A good , journeymen, Back-up.

clemens2.jpg
In 15 games he had 12 starts and a record of 4-8-0

Clemens3.jpg
He went 191 of 336 for 2258 Yds. and 10 TD's w/ 9 Int's a 56.8 comp % and he was sacked 30 times

Clemens4.jpg

" I'd take him as a 3rd QB."

That all for me today! Anyone have any more Player's, Photos, gif's, memories or comments to add today!?

GO RAMS!!

I honestly believe we could have won the Bowl with Trent as well, the guy was rock solid. Just had bones made of glass and skin of paper.

I'm thinking a little Marc Bulger debate is in order. It's been too long.

You asked for it...:sneaky::rolleyes:;)

I thought Bulger was a very good QB but in that 2003 Division Round Playoff game against the Panthers it all came crashing down not because of Bulger's play but the decision by Martz to play for over time rather than play for the win.

I heard in an interview awhile back with Martz (unfortunately I can’t find it) that said he was worried that Bulger would throw an interception and that would be the end of it. To me that sounds cowardly.:cautious:

I did find and article that say’s Martz intentionally played for over time though.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/undefined

Coach Mike Martz actually played for the tie, confident the
Rams' home-field advantage would come through.
"I felt like if we could get it into overtime, we would win
this game. I was very sure about the decision and don't regret the
decision," Martz said.

Let’s take a look at that potential game winning drive below. With a 1st and 10, 42 seconds on the clock, and two time outs remaining Martz makes a conscious decision to play for over time.o_O:confused::eek:

Bulger was hitting everything on that drive, why pull the plug with all the momentum going for you and decide to sit on it at the 15 yard line.

IMO that decisions was the beginning of the end of RAMS football as we once knew it to be, and here we stand 12 years later.

Sorry to stir-up bad memories but this will haunt me till the day I die.:p

I was still too young to care about football, but just like many of you, my father was pissed. I looked at the stats and going into that game the NFL had us ranked as the 2nd best team in the league going into that game. 42 seconds, 2 timeouts, and 15 yards to go with Faulk, Holt, and Bruce. Bulger easily could've won us the game.

Marc Bulger - seriously underrated for how good he truly was. Just needed an offensive line to keep him up.

So that's Martzs fault right? I mean, Bulger didn't decide to run the clock out and go into overtime. To me, Bulger was a major product of the system. He was very accurate but much like Bradford, it was mostly on his first read. He had HOF players around him and still couldn't do much. But yeah, losing that game to the Panthers really brought us down hill. Because I guarantee we would beat the Eagles to go and rematch the Cheaters and get our revenge.

Yeah that’s on Martz. You don’t know what’s going to happen in OT. He had all the time in the world to work with and ends up having a major brain fart.

I agree it would have been a rematch of SB XXXVI
