After he watched the film he said the following

Bradford did not have a good game, doesn't care about those numbers. Said Sam was tentative and left throws on the field. Said Sam had Kendricks open in the 2nd quarter for a TD and he checked it down. Also said Tavon missed a read that Sam did see that would have gone for a 70 yd TD. The plays are there but the Rams aren't seeing them.

Said he has no problem saying that Quinn is the best 4-3 DE in the NFL, not just pass rush but against the run. Said Simms is playing great and the Rams DL rotation is terrific and should give the Cowboys OL fits.

From my eyes Sam is tentative sometimes.

He waits for the WR to break open instead of anticipating the WR coming open.

Can he get better and trust his reads?

We all hope he can.

As long as we win Sunday, I don't care if Bradford has a questionable game. The momentum would be huge going into the 49er game

Half true. Kendricks was open for a TD. It was the play where Bradford through the wheel route to Cook against the DE. His first progression was Tavon and his second was Cook. He decided to throw to Cook instead of moving to Lance...who was wide open in the middle of the field because the safety made a bee-line for Cook on the sideline.

But that wasn't a "check-down".

Yeah, I've seen him check down with open receivers too. I'd rather see a check down than a turn over. I don't think it's chronic. Probably a vestige of shell shock from having no line his first 3 seasons. It seems much better than in the past. I'm hoping it goes away completely soon.

That being said, they need to run an offense that suits him and everyone around him.

If you find them, let us know.

It is pretty easy to look at tape and say that a play COULD have been made here or there, and sometimes I've heard people say that, and then when I look at it, the player wasn't part of the progression, or there was a safety lurking, or there was too much pressure, etc.

And, EVERY QB leaves a few plays on the field, and they are not shy to tell you about it. Sam errs on the side of caution, is he coached to do that? We know that he was before. Fisher mentioned that Tavon missed a couple routes, and we have to expect that from him at this point.

He just said it was in the 2nd quarter that Kendricks was wide open and Bradford missed it.

I don't agree with that. There are isolated examples but he's pretty consistent when it comes to anticipation and timing.

I'd say his biggest issue is field vision. He misses open players from time to time because he doesn't get all the way through his progressions. Instead, he falls in love with his first or second read.

Happens to most QBs but it's something Sam can improve upon. I hope he does.

Did the safety make the bee-line after Sam initiated the throw?

From A1, he threw the wheel route to Cook who was on the DE, Biermann.

I forgot you guys are All-Pro QBs in your spare time.

Hindsight is 20-20. Give it full speed on the road vs an elite team... Hostile stadium, 2 TDs down... Gimme a fucking break.

Some guys on this board are looking for problems that aren't there. It is not healthy.

It wasn't kendricks on the Jared Cook wheel route, although it was tavon austin

This was the wheel route play.. if he doesn't lock on to cook ( i don't blame him entirely, 3rd and 10, and austin dropped the 5 yard pass the play before)

Thanks for posting A1's pics in here Jrry...and WOW. Yeah thats a red zone miscue by Sam for sure. QB's dont always make the best reads(even the great one's). These things happen but damn,Sam has got to scan and see that open man in the red zone.

He's getting much better pass pro this year so far,so hopefully his mental clock adjusts to it. His brain is still telling his body "Quick! Get rid of it!"

I got to 255-0 once and anytime I scored after that didn't count for some reason...!

Of course we have to take the good with the bad.

But there is concern here. Those stills show some pretty big screw ups.
