How did he hurt his eye? I hope he'll be OK and able to play next year

some dirt must have flew out of a receivers cleat after Finn got burned !!

Cort was nothing to the Rams this year, since week 1 when he had all those penalties called on him. WR's are bigger and stronger now then when he first came in the league, and with the new NFL rules favoring the offense, Finnegan will never be as effective as he was when he first came into the league

It's been obvious since last season. He wasn't good after about the 4th week last season and we have absolutely nothing behind the starting 3 CB's. We knew going into this season that if anyone went down, we'd be in trouble- and that's assuming the top 3 CB's played well. Johnson has been the only CB to play well so we were in trouble from the start. I have no idea what's happened to JJ. I'm starting to wonder if he worked hard enough in the off season because he's dropped off big time.

I'm not sure I'd call Johnson a home run pick unless he makes a Pro Bowl. I think he's solid but I don't think he's near Pro Bowl level. He's about what I expect from a 3rd round pick.

Good stuff, man. After we picked Jerome Murphy in the third a few years ago I consider Johnson a Home Run, just me. He's become our best CB in year 2 and he just seems to keep getting better.

On a side note, He is a prime example of how fast players are suppose to develope. Torry Holt said it takes WR's about 3 seasons to adjust. I'm hoping that's the case for Quick.

JJ is a pot head... he's doing good considering that fact.

Johnson still could become a HR pick. If you want to compare it to the previous regime's picks, then yes, it's a HR already. I honestly think he would be a REALLY good FS but considering how thin we already are at CB, I don't see that happening.

On a side note regarding JJ, after seeing some of his tweets over the off season last year, I remember cringing and wondering if his head was in the right place. At the time I just brushed it off and didn't want to draw any conclusions from it. But now I'm starting to wonder if they were a sign that he wasn't doing everything he needed to improve.

Wouldn't mind seeing him become a coaching consultant, but truthfully I hope he's played his last game w/ us. But I think in the bigger scheme he would be a great coach.

I would guess he is in camp next year for a last chance but if he isn't looking good in pre-season games, he may not see opening day.

I'm pretty sure that if he makes it to camp that means we've already decided to keep him considering he would already have been paid his bonus.

Yeah probably this. I think sometime shortly after the season we'll know if Cortland will be back.
