Jim Thomas joined Tim McKernan, Doug Vaughn and Jim “The Cat” Hayes on CBS Sports Radio 920 this morning to talk Rams draft. He did not really see the Michael Sam pick coming by the Rams with all the depth on the defensive line. Why Sam’s game would not translate to the league, his hand needs to be in the dirt. In hindsight JT would’ve taken Sammy Watkins with their first pick, certainly liked some things the Rams did... found out later that Jake Matthews was not even the Rams second rated offensive tackle, looking at their later decisions. Rams have belief they have the rights guys especially when it comes passing game to produce... Isaiah Pead and Daryl Richardson on notice with Tre Mason now looming, the anticipation of media coming to the Michael Sam press conference on Tuesday ought to be nothing like we have ever seen, national media will make bigger deal of this than local media, Michael Sam has to make the team.
