Should have been flagged for leading with the crown of his helmet

But that play? He wasn't blocked. I could have made it.

:fighting: :snicker:

CGI, I respect you, man, but you would have gotten flattened on that play. The play-side OG pulled to pick Clowney up. Clowney was just too fast and beat him to the spot.

Blalock is Atlanta's starting OG too. Considered to be a pretty good LG. This was no scrub.

Of course I would have gotten flattened. :sneaky:

I watched that clip over and over. Then again and again reading the responses since my first... In my mind "what did I miss?"

I get that he made a good play. And... He's got insane burst. But that's not the play I see as a differentiator for him.

It's more or less the same as the Watkins TD thread that popped up recently. Except it happened during a game. Nice outcome and pretty play. Ultimately, not very meaningful.

Still, that's something that NFL OLs are going to learn real fast with Clowney...don't underestimate his explosiveness off the ball. That was the mistake Blalock made.

I have no doubt whatsoever that @CGI_Ram would have gotten there just as fast... If there were a cheeseburger and cold beer involved :D

I continue to laugh at those of you who would have passed on him.
lol same here... But no NFL personnel would have passed on him at #1, only fans would.

I love GR and I'm thrilled we got him. He was my guy. I also liked Watkins. But Clowney was BPA by a freaking mile.

I think he's going to be a very good player.

I don't really think the fact he reached the ball carrier is the impressive part... It's that he knocked his ass to the ground like a punching bag with just a shoulder. How often does an NFL back go down just like that?

Did you see Tre Watts first carry? :p

I'm kidding. I get it. And... I do like Clowney.

Yeah, but he didn't get there to hit the QB before he even got the hand off off, bust.

U must have forgotten how Kenneth Derby went down when the ref hit him with a forearm shiver. Lmao

Ah, yes. Darby's ref punch, Eli Manning's left-handed throw... the Rams do have a proud tradition of creating humiliating highlights.

Let's not forget Romo's twenty-seven yard scramble after the ball was snapped over his head on third down. :(

Unfortunately, Houston still has nothing at QB. IMO, Bortles looks like the better pick for a team in Houston's spot.

The good thing is Fisher and Snead wouldn't have passed on him. I'm happy with Robinson, but Clowney is the Megatron of defensive prospects.
